Very unprofessional won't be back. I came to see doctor not a assisted
Wonderful Medical Team!
Dr. Hunter did a microdisectomy on my l5/s1 7yrs ago and fixed my problem. On Feb/17/23 I had another surgery that he did. It was on my neck. He took the c7 out and replaced it with a fake one. And then did a fusion. The surgery was 45mins. And once i got home, i noticed somethings wrong. I thought I would see him on my 2 week post opt. But instead I seen a pa. I pay to see an expert not a PA. She rushed me to get an xray, and once I got it, I haven't heard from them. I've called several times asking him to call me back, as I need to ask "him" some questions. But every time a nurse calls me and tells me that I have to tell her first. I've told her it is personal and that it makes no sense why I should have to tell her, then go through it again with the doctor, when I can just talk to him. She said that I would have to make an appointment. I told her that I wasn't paying just to ask "HIM" a question. I do not recommend his office at all.
Dr Hunter did surgery on me for Herniated Disc. Excellent bedside manners, great hospital and office staff. NP in office is excellent and very efficient. I'll give more stars if available. God continue to Bless his hands.
Dr Hunters a professional , he had good bedside manners when he came in to tall to me about my surgery, he did a wonderful job on my back .
I've had several surgeries over almost 20 years from Dr. Hunter for degenerative disc's. Every surgery has given me relief from pain. Megan and Danielle have been great when I haven't seen him.
Dr. Hunter and staff is so kind. They are helping me to understand what the problem is and what to expect for surgery. I've been waiting for 20+ years for this surgery.
I have had 2 surgeries with Dr. Hunter. Hands down he is the best surgeon you could ask for.I love the staff here as well . They are very respectful, polite. They do above their job.Thank you to all for taking excellent care of me.I appreciate you all.
Dr. Hunter did surgery on my neck C-3, C-4 and C-5. Then L5-L6. Fusion and wedge with plates and screws. Fantastic job. No pain, stiffness. I highly recommend him .
In late December, 2021, Dr. Hunter performed cervical fusion on my neck to relieve extreme pain in my neck and arms. By early February, the pain had returned along with extreme numbness in both hands. I was only seen by his PA for follow up visits whose only response to my concerns was "it takes 6 to 12 months to heal". Knowing something was still very wrong and now very wary of my care by Dr. Hunter, I sought a second opinion with another doctor in Gastonia. Although having to work around a "cage" inserted by Dr. Hunter which he said was a very unusual procedure, he performed a second fusion in early July, 2022 on the exact same discs and I am finally pain free. Due to the lack of care given post surgery by Dr. Hunter himself, the refusal of his PA to address my concerns, and the use of the unneeded "cage" which is now permanent, I do not recommend Dr. Hunter to anyone with spinal problems.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
