Had a 7.5 hr wait in the ER after being sent there for a severe infection by my Dr. We finally had family bring us something to eat because we were very hungry. The only thing open that time of night is McDonald's. Dr. Soltis proceeded to walk in and criticize our food, and essentially fat shame me. He finally moves on to my foot which is where the infection is and in a demeaning manor proceeds to tell me that we are in "foot amputation territory". He had not read my chart, he didn't even know my Dr. had sent me over for admission. He left the room to "check some things" and never returned. I did not know what was going on until the nurse told me I was going to a room. Also looking back at my labwork he ran a pregnancy test even though i said multiple times I have had a hysterectomy. The takeaway: bad bedside report- unfriendly - ran unnecessary test because he did not bother to listen.

Saw him today and was really impressed with his thorough exam of my injured knee. He saw no need to do x-rays that would cost $$ as a result of his exam. He gave me a couple of prescriptions and sent me on my way. Just wish he was in private practice, We could sure use a good doctor like him in Goldsboro!!!
