Today been one week of my surgery and I feel absolutely wonderful, Dr. Maxy explained me everything before and after my surgery and i felt very confident about his work. I'm almost pain free and my husband told me my skin is almost healed. Many thanks Sylvia Hunt

Today I had my first visit with Dr Maxy, he’s an excellent doctor. He addressed my pain and listened to my concerns. I drove one hour in the rain and Highway constructions but it was worth it, I will be following up with him 👍🏻

First let me state my 56 year old mother didn't make it off the table under Maxy's knife. She had been having neck pain for 8 years and every Dr. She saw said they wouldn't touch her neck. Her original Dr. Left town and refered her to Maxy. His God ego kicked in and said he would do the surgery bc according to him he's done thousands. All other DR's said she was too high risk and would have a longer life making her as comfortable as possible. This transition happened during Covid so Maxy is the only "Dr" I didn't get to speak with in person about her situation and his plans bc the referral came less than two weeks before she was scheduled to have the surgery after meeting him once. I have Power of Attorney, I'm next of kin, I'm also emergency contact. This surgery should have never happened without me speaking with this person first. My number has been the same for 15-16 years but on the day of surgery I got absolutely no updates about her surgery after about 8-9hrs I started calling getting no one to speak with me bc it was one day surgery and they were closed so finally an operator connected me to the OR and I spoke with a nurse in the room. She stated Maxy wanted to speak with me personally because they ran into some complications. He called me back about and hr or hr and a half later more worried about telling me they had been trying to reach me with up dates all day but I didn't give my number to the OR nurse so obviously they had the correct number if he called me back from where I called. His attitude on how successful his part went was mind blowing knowing he let my mother bleed out over 5,000ml bc of hitting a bubble (aneurysm) then having to get another Dr in to fix his mess took way too long. They had to use a minx stint going through her growin bc they couldn't figure out what he hit to cause her to bleed so much. Very careless practice. The stint caused her to have multiple strokes which then lead to her brain DEATH. They waited til the next day to airlift her. Assuring me she's only on the ventilator for safety reasons and he also (Maxy) said they were keeping her in ICU so she could have a nurse close by after the surgery making no real acknowledgment of what he had just done. It was just water under the bridge. This man took my mother's life way too early and assumed a Neurosurgeon would fix his mistake but once gotten to Mission they said the damages were done and there's nothing could be done. Maxy kept calling her nurses at Mission wanting to know what was going on but bc he didn't have permission to get updates they couldn't tell him. He was calling my cell (her daughter) as well bc I think he finally realized he messed up BIG TIME!!! The God ego of these DR's have got to stop. My mother should have never been in that OR, Maxy should have gotten to know her history longer than 2-3 weeks of having her as a patient before even considering doing this surgery. I don't believe any real Dr would have ever done this surgery on a patient with her history. This was MALPRACTICE at it's finest. I now get to have a funeral for my mother, my children's Nana all because money is so important over human life. Thanks, our family truly appreciates you.

I would not recommend anyone that I know to him. After my husbands surgery he had to wait 2 hours for pain medicine. Then a different doctor discharged him on a Sunday and never called for a prior authorization for his medicine. He never got his pain medicine until late that Monday. He ran out a week after surgery and they called in his medicine 5 days later. He was in so much pain he could barely walk. Hailey his assistant blamed my husband when it was her fault This was a total joke

Very friendly compassionate pays attention. Took a while to get an apt. But thats the price you pay for a popular and well known orthopedic.

Dr Maxy operated on my back in 2007 due to a piece of disc that has lodged against my sciatic nerve He repaired the disc removed the offending piece and left a really small scar. He was very professional. I have had no significant back issues since healing and I have had back problems since my late 20s. I would recommend him any time.

Had emergency surgery on my lower back. Doctor may was very nice acted as though he cared about me and my well being . After surgery I had concerns the swelling in my right leg wouldnt stop and he said it had nothing to do with my surgery And left the room. I had No problems before surgery with swelling. I understand things will change after a major surgery. I wasnt blaming him I just wanted to know what 8f anything I could do about the problem . He acted as though he didnt care he did all he could.

Surgery went well. Beside manner is lacking and he does not visit again after the surgery.

I had to have back surgery and Dr. Maxy did it. He is the greatest and the best I would recommend him to ANYONE who is dealing with back pain. Awesome Dr. that cares for his patients. Thank you Dr. Maxy

One of the best doctors I have ever had. He did both my lower back neck as well as mt foot I broke in 10 places. My first surgery was in Nov 2000 L5S1 Lower back 10 hour surgery then but everything went great as of today still moving well with out trouble. Thank you Dr. Maxy your the best...
