During my first colonoscopy I encountered a small abnormal growth about the size of a pencil eraser. Dr. Jacobs said surgery is no big deal, however I'm confident I cant take it out with another colonoscopy. So after another round of prep, he goes back in and does not even remove the growth. During both procedures he marks the growth with Indian ink for the surgeon. The surgery was supposed to be a laparoscopic surgery with four small holes. Ended up with 2 incisions, one being a four inch long incision above the navel, and the other being a 2 inch long incision below the navel due to Dr. Jacobs missing the mark twice. Afterwards was a 6 day long hospital stay and very painful recovery. Hope you aren't a young lady wanting to get into your two piece swimsuit.

This doctor had NO desire to help me - He also does NOT have any compassion -If it's NOT life threatening, you're recommended to pain management without a diagnose
I was given a referral through my Dr. to have a procedure with Dr. Jacobs. I went to my appointment and spent approx. 45 minutes with one of his staff members going over the procedure and never saw the Dr. After this visit I believed everything was set up to move forward with the procedure and was told I would be called and given a date and time for the procedure. After we got home I was called by one of the staff members from the Dr's office and was told that he wanted to see me for a consultation and to bring my insurance card and I.D. again. The next available appointment to see him was close to 30 days away.I believe I should have seen the Dr. during the first appointment and then the scheduler all in the same appointment. I don't see the reason for 2 visits and 2 co-payments and have never had a procedural appointment like this. I have always seen the Dr. on the first and only visit for a scheduled consultation and then was either seen or was called by a staff member for a time and instructions for the procedure. No need for 2 co-payments and 2 visits for a simple procedure.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
