I had been nearly bed bound for one year due to extreme back pain. Dr. J. Thomas explained my surgery and completed it successfully. Now one year later I am pain free. I can walk to my mailbox, drive my car and participate in social events again. Dr. Thomas gave me my life back and I cannot thank him enough.

At 1st I was a little uncertain about going to this group. But all the comments were so good. The 2nd time I went I was so impressed with doctor Thomas. He came in sat down and showed me what he was talking about. He took his time and talked to me about my options. It was just a fantastic visit. He did a X-ray and then called with the results which really surprised me because it was so soon after I left. So yes I totally recommend him.

Dr Thomas is a straight shooter, very thorough, and takes your health seriously. He performed two brain surgeries on me after I suffered a stroke in 2021 and an ACDH in 2022 to correct nerve damage in my arms. Would recommend him to anyone who wants the best care available.

I've had 7 different family doctors in my 65 years. In my opinion, one doctor needed to find a new profession while 5 other doctors ranged from adequate to very good. Doctor Thomas is excellent! He's personable, polite, caring but most importantly he listens. I explained to him my symptoms once and at the end he asked me a question. " What is your greatest fear?" I've never been asked that before. What a relief when he told me not to worry, that was not my problem. The stress in my body just slipped away. Some times you are scared to ask your doctor because you don't wish to face those fears. You leave the doctor's office feeling no better than when you walked in. The front office is top drawer. Polite, helpful and professional. I always leave the clinic feeling confident that I have received the best health care available. Thank you because many days it must seem thankless, under appreciated.

I had to have emergency brain surgery after a visit to the ER. Dr Thomas was on call and I am so thankful that he was the neurosurgeon assigned to me. He explained why I had to have the procedure and what to expect. Removal of a benign brain tumor are words no one ever wants to hear but Dr Thomas’ calm demeanor decreased my anxiety. I recovered very well and in a shorter period of time than expected. His office staff is very professional while being very personable. Patients appreciate that. I would be all too willing to recommend Carolina Neurosurgery, Dr Thomas, and his wonderful staff to anyone who needs this type of help.
