Mario Mitkov's Online Review Report Card

This morning Dr Mitkov did a MOHS surgery to remove a squamous cell carcinoma on my ear. He performed as an excellent surgeon in removing the cancer that was about the size of a dime. It was then covered by a skin graft from behind the ear. There was only a small amount of pain and it only took 3 hours including the wait time while the removed cells showed the cancer was completely removed. Overall Dr Mitkov did an excellent job and Beth N. his nurse was also excellent.

As others have mentioned, Dr. Mitkov and his nurse Beth are simply wonderful! I had Mohs surgery on my nose, and was so nervous. But, the entire clinic was so kind, and Beth and Dr. Mitkov treated me like royalty. I am one week post-op and and doing fine. I’ve got a ways to go with healing, but they have encouraged patience on my part, and that they are available if I need them. I’ve been thinking that this day would come, as I was a sun worshiper in the 80’s. Bad me. It’s so nice to have a clinic like this in Greensboro to help! Thank you Beth and Dr. Mitkov! Went to have a cancer spot removed. The surgery was painless.It's been a little over a month. The scar is hard to find. I would and will recommend Dr. Mitkov.

I was very nervous about my procedure that I needed to have with Dr. Mitkov. I had been assured by others that he was a great doctor and I would be in good hands. They were right! Everyone at the office was kind and helpful. The nurse, Beth, was more caring and attentive than I could have ever hoped for. I am so thankful that I was able to have the surgery I needed with two caring individuals. Thank you to both of them!

I am giving a 5 Star rating. This was my first visit here and I was very nervous. The staff was exceptional at putting me at ease. Dr. Mitkov was great by taking his time, explaining everything clearly and doing what needed to be done in a manner that made me feel comfortable. Dr. Mitkov is skilled, professional and patient, and his assistants are the same. I couldn’t be more pleased with the care I received and the outcome. Was very nervous about having surgery on my scalp, but experienced no pain during the procedure and, with just over the counter meds, had no pain afterwards. Wound healed well and scarring is minimal. If I have more troublesome places, will definitely return to see Dr. Mitkov.

Dr. Mitkov treated my 91 year old mother. He was very caring and professional. The procedure started on time and we were informed during every step of the process. I would like to thank Beth for her outstanding care in helping Mom get through this. She was great! I was very impressed with with Dr. Mitkov and the entire staff at this facility.

I had Mohs for a very small Basil Cell Carcinoma on my forehead. Instead of closing horizontally and blending with wrinkles he closed vertically. There was not a medical reason to do so. When the scar healed it was as if all the tissue was to the inside of the scar and there was no tissue on the outside. Also the ends of the scar curled outward. This has left me with a large divet in my forehead that makes it look as if I have been hit in the head with a hammer. I went back to see him and he was very apologetic and stated that this could happen 15% of the time. I informed him that if he had told me that I would not have agreed to it. He referred me to a Cosmetic Surgeon who suggested fat grafting and charged me $400 for the consultation and informed me that he would do the procedure for a cash price of $4K. In researching revising this type of scar on the forehead, I learned that the procedure is often done requires more than 1 graft. Dr. Mitkov left me disfigured.
