William E Fitzgerald Md's Online Review Report Card

I have had Dr fitzgerald care for me on Two emergency hospital stays.. I could not have asked for a better or caring Dr. However the staff is out of this world. I am a patient and I would like to know how that Women can get away speaking to patients like that. I asked for him to call me and she was so rude in telling me he would not be able to call me back. This is not the first run in with her.

Dr Fitzgerald is a great doctor I have seen this man on more than one occasion and he really knows his work. Doesn’t do a lot of smiling but I guess that’s just his personality. But indeed an excellent doctor

Dr Fitzgerald has been an excellent physician in every conceivable aspect for needs for routine surveillance and during several emergency hospitalizations in the last 5 years. Highly recommended.

Dr Fitzgerald was assigned to me in the hospital covering for another Pulmonolgist. Dr Fitzgerald was taken off when Simkovitz returned. After dealing with a sarcastic, rude and angry Dr Simkovitz I called Dr Fitzgerald’s office for help with my follow up care. His staff was very helpful in facilitating the connection with Dr Fitzgerald He called me with my cat scan results the day after. Answered my questions and was clear and consice and had EMPATHY for me. Don’t feel stuck with Dr’s assigned to you in the hospital for after care appts as I was and be put through a horrendous experience when recovering from a major illness

Great doctor. Loves his job and his patients.

Dr Fitzgerald first saw my wife as an emergency admission due to respiratory failure that lasted 2 1/2 weeks. He saw my wife seven days a week and nursed her back to stability. I was a nervous wreck but his professionalism, skill and patience also helped me to get through a trying period. He is easy to talk to and to understand. His office staff, (post hospital) is professional, friendly and caring. They answer questions, call quickly with test results. Of note, Dr Fitzgerald fought for my wife against the hospital bureaucracy when they wanted to summarily discharge her after four days and spent hours of his personal time to make sure that my wife had the proper equipment support upon discharge

EXCELLENT doctor will do what he can for ANYONE-considers everyones life valuable. Will always make time to see his patients.. you may have a long wait for him in his clinic due to this.. you could have a long wait for him but it will be because he's seeing to someone's medical problems. Has been my family's doctor on MANY occassions and we all have nothing but good to say about him..

Dr. Fitzgerald botched my diagnosis as backstrain when I actually had three ruptured discs in my back. At the time their was no orthopedic surgery in St. Anthony. As soon as one arrived I made an appt. to hopefully get a CT scan which other doctors in St. Anthony said I should get. As an employee of GRHS and hurt on the job. Thank goodness I had good surgeons in my province with 25 years of back surgery experience that offered me the professional courtesy to do their job correctly and quickly using evidenced based medicine

Knowlegeable, easy going and very caring. I love the fact that he addresses all your concerns and takes as much time as needed. HE gives a thorough examination including your vitals (not the nurse) and speaks to you in a professional yet understandable manner. Highly recommend!
