The food is great and the doctor r Awesome and so r the nurses we love being her my little girl is 3 and she just had to have surgery and they r very helpful and caring and I would tell people come here to have there baby bc this hospital is awesome

The nicu sucks they do things to your child without you being around even if you ask to be present . 20 people telling you different things everyday no one is on the same page I wish I would have looked at reviews before I came here I would have went to unc. Never again will I deliver here.

I am 38 weeks pregnant and went to the hospital twice in one week the first night I went the nurse I had was really nice and caring. The second time I went I thought I was in labor and the emergency nurse name Becky was so rude to me. She made me feel like I was dumb and should know what real labor feels like because I have had 2 kids Prior. But I had my last kids 11 years agoShe also told me when I came in before she even checked me that she knew that I wasn’t dilated enough because I was just there a day before. I haven’t delivered my baby there yet but she really made me feel like I don’t wanna deliver at that hospital. I sure hope I don’t get her when I come in to have my baby delivered. I really didn’t appreciate how I was treated.

I had my baby here 3 days ago the nurses in labor an delivery was awesome . Once they moved us upstairs it was a different experience they barely check on you they discharged me a day before the baby but I couldnt go home an get fresh clothes or shower . I had to stay with the baby . an you ask for information an they just sugarcoat everything.

My wife recently had a baby at womens and children. The labor and delivery nurses were great nothing negative to say about them. The NICU nurses doctors nurse practitioners are all very awful. I could go on for days about the experience we have incurred with them. One NP actually told me that I shouldnt compare the service from the nicu to labor and delivery since it was two different areas. I informed her that cone is still one hospital and they are all under the same leadership. They give you so much conflicting information its crazy and in the same day and same hour you could hear 2 to 3 different things. Overall a very bad experience that I would not wish on anyone.

The amount of time that you have to wait makes you think theres little to no doctors in the facility. Never coming back here again.

Delivered my preemie 531 and have had both positive and negative experiences. Baby is still currently in the NICU.DeliveryWaiting in Triage took FOREVER. Triage nurses forgot to give me pain medications which the OB was livid about when I FINALLY got upstairs my arm was purple from multiple IV attempts. My LD Nurse Becca was a GODSEND. I find it ridiculous my husband couldnt be in the room with me while I got an epidural but Becca was my saving grace. She is by far one of THE BEST nurses Ive encounteredshe was born for this job. I sadly dont remember any other LD nurse but they were all fantastic.PostDelivery Im upset I found out about a chorio infection and another diagnosis via MyChartno one came to talk to me about these diagnoses and how it impacted preterm labor.NICU The majority of nurses are fantastic. Sue is a nononsense nurse and I love it. She will advocate for you and baby but she also is intent on parents learning the ropes around the NICU. We were strongly encouraged to change our sons diaper feed him help clean bottles etcterrifying in the beginning but I definitely appreciate the encouragement because its helped boost my confidence for whenever we get home. Kelley another NICU nurse who lovingly called our kiddo Pooh Bear was AMAZING. I cannot give her enough stars. Michaela is also another nurse our baby has had twice and we adore her. We also appreciate the NPs listening to all our concerns and being involved in daily rounds.Some negativesfeedbackI wish the nurses were consistent. If its Sues day to work why is Sue not assigned to our son on her days working? The lack of consistency in nurses from day to day is so frustrating. Weve established relationships with Kelley Sue and a couple of othersit would be nice if we could simply stick with a couple of nurses during our tenure in the NICU.Same goes with LCIBCLCs. Ive seen multiple LCs all of which have sized me differently given me different information or even put things like Reynauds into MyChart but never actually discussed this with me. The inconsistencies in information given to me person to person drove me insane. The NICU should have 12 designated LCs. We established a relationship with Heather who I adore and if I could request her daily I would. Of all the feedback I can give if I could change ONE THING in this hospital it would be the inconsistencies. Nurses should have designated infants they tend to or rooms maybe? and LCs should be designated to a certain area. If I could keep Heather LC Sue Kelley and Michaela my NICU experience would be 5 stars.The lack of knowledge regarding oral ties is concerning. With my first who had BOTH ties struggled to latch at all had massive gas etc. I begged and pleaded Womens to check for a tie and was told he doesnt have one hes fine and suggested I wasnt working hard enough... and was easily switched to formula which is fine Im not going to let my child starve. I was also told ties were not revised in the hospital and dont interfere with anything other than breastfeeding Id like to negate that claim. That took a massive toll on my mental health when I got home. Suspicions were confirmed weeks later when we were finally able to see someone who said yes he had both a severe tongue and lip tie and yes it was causing numerous problems. With my current newborn suddenly staff is aware of ties and willing to revise the tie? While I appreciate the revision and finally feeling heard I so wish I had that experience with my firstborn.Room 301 in the NICU is THE WORST location for a NICU baby. Close to an entryway 352930 people pass by per day far away from anyone being able to hear a baby crying and our son doesnt have a loud cry to begin with. Who thought THAT was a good idea? Also when we were moved to this room...the shower had some...curly hairy remnants in it. Theyre still there if any inquiring mind wants to come look because Im not touching them.
