Asheville Gastroenterology Associates's Online Review Report Card

I went here thinking it would be better than Missiom Hospital in Asheville. I waited two hours to be seen by a PA and med student. They were very nice. I was told I would need a CT scan to make sure everything looked okay. I had to wait an additional 3 hours for that and then another three to be visited again by the PA and med student. I was told that there was nothing they could do as my scan looked normal. I even tried to advocate for myself and was essentially shot down. Then I get my bill which was stupid expensive considering not much was done for me there. No pain meds given no one checked on me while I waited nothing. All in all I shouldve just went to Mission Hospital instead.

zero stars. If you want an experience so horrific that you are now triggered every time you have a doctors appointment with any doctor at all then go to advent health. If you want the worst healthcare experience of your life where you leave this place in tears and feeling like scum for asking a question then this place is for you When it was park ridge hospital it was much better but since advent took over its gone down the drain. Went for a mammogram and ultra sound because of pain in breast after they told me to come back if pain developed radiology came in to talk About results. I couldnt get a word in edgewise when I tried to ask a question he jumped into aggressively talking down to me and belittling me. I was sitting there half naked with a paper cloth over my body while this radiologist was pretty much reprimanding me for opening my mouth. Even the xray tech was looking at me shocked from the way that he was speaking to me. Because her demeanor went from short clipped attitude to highpitched voice overly nice and making sure all of my questions were answered. I will never and I mean NEVER go here again. worst patient care I have received in all of my life. Do not waste your time at this place.

Wish I had read the reviews before choosing this company to provide my care. Prices were EXTREMELY high Their multiple bills with varying amounts and no explanation are outrageous. Ive dealt with medical institutions for over 36 years due to a son with medical issues. I know how to read bills and insurance explanation of benefits. AdventHealths billing system is frustrating and confusing. While I dont have the best insurance AdventHealth was in my network. My insurance negotiated the customary small discount and paid a small portion of the total. I received an explanation of benefits from my insurance that showed what I SHOULD pay but AdventHealth had a higher figure. When I called AdventHealth the representative was of no help he did finally agree to refile. This never happened. A month passed. I received another bill for the same amount. Called yet again. This time the representative guided me to dispute my claim which I did. I mailed the payment I SHOULD pay so we will see what happens. Unfortunately like I mentioned previously they send multiple bills for various services from the same visit so I STILL have 2 more bills to figure out ‍Never again.

No one there told me I’d need to be at an appointment 15 minutes early. Might as well include that in the appointment time itself. Wasted a vacation day because they didn’t tell me this when I made the appointment.

We had a terrible experience at this ER. We arrived at about 3am and it was not busy but we were there for over 3 hours being ignored in the room for most of the time. My husband was in dire pain with a kidney infection and I had to ask multiple times for them to assess his pain medication. We had at least 5 different staff members coming in and out no one really explaining what was going on. We left with an antibiotic and pain meds and 36 hours later his symptoms were just as bad if not worse. I called their nursing line and the rudest woman spoke to me and couldn’t get me off the phone fast enough saying there’s nothing they could do to help. Now we are in a different ER because they provided him no relief. Ridiculous “care” from these medical “professionals.”The only bright spot was a very kind imaging nurse who performed his CT scan.

I would rather Die then go to this hospital because I definitely will Die if I do.

This hospital and every single doctor and nurse that works there murdered both of my parents within a 5 month period. Then they covered it all up by destroying all of the records and evidence using the restrictions of the pandemic as cover to avoid family interference so I cant take legal action against them. In my case they killed my parents Dr. Death style and made it look like natural causes. When I started to speak out against them they used law enforcement under false pretenses to try to silence me. You cant silence or escape the truth. Your own murderous doctor even admitted to me what he did to my father. I warn anyone that goes to this hospital find somewhere else to go before its too late. And to Advent Health this isnt about money. This is about righting a wrong. Now this Disabled Veteran has to pick up the pieces and take care of whats left of my family

I just had the best experience with Dr. Onajite Onaodowan In your rheumatology department She is professional patient empathetic and thinks outside of the box. I have had a terrible pain in my right leg for almost a year and a 12. I have seen at least a dozen doctors from all over North Carolina and Chicago. She is the only one who truly listened to my symptoms and gave me a completely different diagnosis. And she it seems was right Thank you Dr. Onaodowan for your patience and expertise And thank you Advent Health for hiring a young brilliant and innovative doctor I cannot recommend her highly enough

The staff at AdventHealth were great during my kidney stone surgery. Unfortunately the doctor wasnt so great. If you go to AdventHealth Urology stay away from Dr Nina Harkhani. Horrible bedside manner horrible after care and she basically has a condescending God complex. Ive had several surgeries in my lifetime and I have never met a doctor with that level of unprofessionalism. Very disappointing because I was a huge fan of AdventHealth.

This is an amendment to my review of 3421 I discovered this week the individual in billing I had been in communication withthe one who suddenly stopped returning my emails is no longer employed at Advent.  A regional supervisor was in touch this week and addressed my concerns to my satisfaction and was responsive clear and understanding and the issue with collections is resolved.  Im grateful not only because of the excellent medical care received but also because I would feel good about returning to Advent in the future should the need present.
