List of Robert Bailey's Reviews
Written Sept. 22, 2022. Seemed like a nice enough guy and knowledgeable enough doctor, but he and his office could have killed my husband (and may still; he’s not out of the woods yet) through neglect. I took my husband in because he was really sick. He had a fever that spiked to 103 the previous two evenings, bad night sweats, shaking chills, and back pain. My husband is 73. (Classic kidney infection signs, I know now from the Internet). Bailey ruled out covid and flu immediately with a nose swab. Took blood and urine sample with a promise to call the next day. We called them, left message with their service (you cannot get through to their office), no call back. My husband developed a cough during the day and had a horrible night with cough added to the sweating and chills and fever. Called the next day, I insisted on staying on the line while the service messaged the office over and over. Finally office responded to service. Service came back on the line saying office promised to call me within twenty minutes. Two and a half hours later we drove 45 minutes to Bailey’s office in Hendersonville to get the lab results, my husband coughing the whole way. The nurse came out explaining they didn’t want to call until they got all the results and they were waiting for some that could take another day or two (while he dies of sepsis?) They did know that he had a UTI. I asked what tests they were waiting for. The nurse seemed surprised by the question, hesitated, then answered they needed a more detailed analysis to determine which antibiotic would be best for what he had. She said they could start him on a more general one and call in a day or two to change prescription to the right one. No apology for not calling, of course, as that could open them up to liability. Once in the car, I saw in his records that I had insisted on getting a copy of, the analysis showing the best antibiotic. And they gave him a 21 day prescription. Hardly seems they intended to call in a couple days to update it. I believe she flat out lied about waiting for any other test results. She knew they dropped the ball when it came to calling. We would have been better off going to some walk-in clinic. We would have had a prescription before walking out the door. Speaking of doors, I will never darken Baileys door again! When kidney infection reaches the point of such severe symptoms, it’s dangerous in anyone, but it’s deadly serious business in an older person. Yet it was treated less seriously than a splinter by Dr. Bailey’s staff (and Bailey is responsible as the doctor sets the tone and enforces quality control). There is NO excuse. My husband has had two pills so far and I’m still very concerned. He’s in bed next to me drenched in sweat again. If not better by tomorrow afternoon we are going to the ER. He should have started on this antibiotic TWO DAYS ago. Beth Jones
Very understanding. Listens well. Look forward to our next appointment.

I am a new patient. But I can already see a long term relationship. I do believe I picked the Doctor for me and my family. He is easy to talk to and a great listener.
Dr. Bailey is kind and very helpful with giving answers. He also will send me to other Dr.s if I need some more investigation of an illness.
I've been with Dr. Bailey for almost 35 years. He has given me the best care through all my healthy, sick, and hurt days.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
