Meeting Dr Zanation was the key to my health and well-being. He treated me as a person like I was his only patient. He provided excellent care in my surgical procedure. I had a tumor removed from my throat that was life threatening. He is very concerned about my over all well being even after the surgery and plans on following me through to the end. This diagnoses ended up being cancer, and he was on top of finding the right Drs that I required for the care I needed. He was very direct and told me what I needed to know not what I wanted to hear. He never sugar coated my health issues. In 20 years we will ring the bell and retire together knowing he acted quickly on what could have been much worse. Looking forward to our lasagna cook-off.

We were very blessed that we saw Dr. Zanation after my son had a mass in his sinuses. Turned out to be an aggressive polyp growing in his sinuses that was the size of an orange. This was a very delicate surgery. We have been very happy with him.

Hello Everyone, I went to Carolina ENT in Hickory due to many complications with Tonsils, Adenoids and Eustachian tubes (as an adult). All the staff were very professional and more importantly, listened to my problems. Due to many blockages in my mouth and sinuses, my surgery was more extensive than your standard every day tonsillectomy adenoidectomy. Dr Zanation has the special skills with special tools to get into small areas and execute the operation. I highly recommend this location for your ENT needs and recommend DR Zanation for any of those odd ball "in your head" surgeries you may need.

He was recommended 3 years ago by my regular ENT, Dr. Brett Heavner for laryngeal cancer and pituitary adenoma. This time he was recommended by my oral surgeon, Carrie Baldwin MD. I had nasal surgery with Dr. Zanation. He was very friendly, presented me with options before I had surgery and explained the pros and cons of each. Knowledgable and pleasant doctor. I would definitely recommend him!

Excellent doctor that specializes in rare tumors.

Simply put: this guy is a boss. I was referred to him around 4 years ago from another sinus surgeon who did not know how to address the infection I had because it was in a rare area. Dr. Zanation is my favorite doctor that I've ever interacted with and is truly a rare breed: a brilliant surgeon with great communication skills and a very caring, patient-first demeanor. I recently moved but if I ever needed a procedure again I would not hesitate to fly to wherever he was, no questions asked.
