Franklin Mcguire's Online Review Report Card

One of the worst experience I had with a doctor. I felt dismissed as though what I'm going through is lol on my head, I guess that means the 5 medications I'm on for my lung therapy can be stopped immediately. I have 4 generations that has died from this disease and he acts aa though I knew nothing about it. My CT shows my lungs look as Swiss cheese but because his didnt instruments didn't add up that I don't know what my physical body is going through. I know I brought this disease on myself and cannot change the damage already done all I ask is that you just help me live my life until I die. I drove 200 miles from va to nc twice not new tests were done he didn't even look at my CT why he couldn't tell me the first time he wasn't doing anything for me is beyond me made me drive there twice before he told me cost me extra gas and an overnight hotel stay twice. I suggest you get your answers from him the first time because he don't mind wasting your time!!!

Dr. McGuire had agreed to do a biopsy on my wife's lung. After my wife had been waiting in the hospital 5 and a half hours for the surgery , ten minutes before 4:00 , he came to tell us he had decided NOT to do the procedure, because I had told his nurse I was angry about unnecessary delays and that he was afraid I'd sue him if the procedure went badly. Although surgeries are often delayed, the reason here was that no one had told my wife that a CT scan was required nor had a CT scan been scheduled. We had arrived 3 hours before the scheduled procedure at 1 and had plenty of time to get the scan had we known. Because of that delay, my wife (who despite three major back surgeries has chronic back pain) had to lie flat on her back for three more hours. After all that, Dr. McGuire left my wife crying, devastated, and still not knowing if the mass in her chest was cancerous. The thought of suing him had never crossed my mind. Nursing staff were outstanding throughout.

Terrible bedside manner! I don't care if you are a doctor, surgeon or rocket scientist you aren't anything but crazy if you think you can disrespect others and it makes you look tough!

We met Dr. McGuire when my father-in-law ended up in the ICU and about to lose his life. Dr. McGuire was throughout in his explanation of the treatment Dad was getting and listened well to our concerns. He attended to Dad a few times throughout his stay in the ICU and every time he had a proactive attitude, took the time to listen and also explain the course of treatment.

I had an appointment with his practice, along with being impress with his expertise in pulmonary. This providers was direct and polite while speaking with me about my situation. I want to let everyone be aware that you will not be disappointment with his services and his excellent staff. I give 5 stars.

He is the BEST doctor I have ever met. He's not only kind and patient he's also very thorough and puts his patients first.

McGuire doesn't have a clue. He has no business being a Dr. I wouldn't recommend McGuire to my worst enemy. He's as bad as the quack he shares office space with, Lupton.. They both completely missed my diagnoses. I was getting worse with their treatment. Went to a real doctor and got on the road to recovery. Avoid McGuire & Lupton.

Dr. McGuire is a very good doctor. He explains the condition he is treating and treats you for only what he finds wrong. I would highly recommend him.
