I've suddenly been experiencing a lot of pain when I sleep on either side, at night, with pain radiating down my left leg! But prior to the pain, I would feel a sudden shift to the left in my lower back, when I would get up to use the bathroom! The shifting sensation stopped, but then, shortly thereafter, the excruciating pain began! When I explained this to the doctor, he took a few x-rays, but then quickly discounted the possibility of a pinched nerve in the facet joint or a bone spur! He automatically diagnosed me with arthritis and recommended me for physical therapy! Two neurosurgeons had operated on me for 5 hours, in May of '09, in New Jersey, and they were "tremendously" thorough, beforehand! I was perfectly fine, thank God, until now! I'm not saying the doctor is absolutely wrong, and I do have spinal stenosis as was determined in 2009; but I got the distinct sense of being rushed through the visit with less than a satisfactory and "thorough" explanation! Neurosurgeon next!!

Dr Knapp did my surgery on my back for sciatic nerve issues. He did an excellent job! I can tell you, he is an amazing doctor! I am regaining feeling back in my leg and feet where i had lost almost all the feeling before the surgery. I cannot thank you enough Dr. Knapp for what you have done to help me! God bless you and the work you do to help people!

Dr. Knapp was very professional, at my visit, he reviewed my condition and gave my the options of treatment. He took plenty of time to answer any questions I had. Would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Knapp is a compassionate, skilled physician. After my first injection into my back, my pain decreased dramatically! I went from taking 3 Tramadol and 2 Naproxen daily to 1 Naproxen in six weeks. I expect my second injection will allow me to resume exercising. I couldn’t be more pleased. I highly recommend Dr. Knapp and Ortho Carolina’s physical therapy department.
