John HARVEY Meier's Online Review Report Card

Back in 2015 I had been throwing up and having really bad stomach pain, I seen Dr. Meier and he didn't want to listen to me, he thought it was just my nerves, but he done a Colonoscopy on me and I was still having Pain in my stomach and throwing up. So I went back to see him, he did take a light down my nose and throat. And said was nothing wrong with me. I was literally still throwing up in his office. He said well would like for me to admit you in the hospital, I said Yes I'm really sick. He got mad at me and did it. Then he discharged me from his place. Left me hanging. I was in the hospital for a week and they said I have CDiff I knew something was wrong with me, and he didn't want to believe me. So yea Thanks for Nothing Doctor Meier, I wouldn't go back to you even if I was dieing, cause your not a good Doctor. People need to be careful going to see him . Thanks Carol Lawhon

Recently had a colonoscopy. I cannot say enough good things about the staff there and about Dr Meier.From entering the building to the recovery room each and every staff member I encountered were extremely personable and professional .

I have been a patient for many years. Scheduled an appointment and was called to come in for COVID test. I then realized that I didn’t need one bad enough right now with COVID so I cancelled appointment til first of year. Dr Meir had nurse to call me and give me a choice either have it now or find someone else to do it. This is a sad, I don’t get bullied into anything so I will find another dr to do my procedure the first of year.

In our pursuit of answers, help, and remedies you gave as much as possible. nonetheless, Carl is home but I want to especially praise, Ms 225, Patricia your assistant, she is/was such a phenominal help, going out of her way to check on us, to see if there were anything we needed, she would check on anything I asked her too. What a blessing ms Patricia was to us, making each trip a joy! God bless you Ms Patricia!

Very professional and courteous. Excellent doctor. Competent and experienced. Explains things in detail. I was not looking forward to my colonoscopy, but everything went smoothly. Nursing staff was great. Overall good experience. I would recommend Dr. Meier to anyone.

Dr. Meier is the best doctor. He did my colonoscopy procedure. He is pleasant and courteous and explained everything in a way I could understand clearly. The entire staff was very friendly. They made me feel welcome and comfortable. I would recommend Dr. Meier and this practice to anyone.

Dr. John Meier, is the physician that I see at Gastroenterology Associates in Hickory, NC. I have been under his care for over ten years.When I first visited Dr. Meier, I had horrible acid reflux, but now that is a thing of the past. Dr. Meier did an upper endoscopy and diagnosed my acid reflux properly.Dr. Meier prescribed two OTC medicines that has cured my esophageal erosion, repaired the damage, and now I am pain free. I can also eat ANYTHING, including the spiciest foods, without any problems whatsoever. That includes Texas chili, with onions, and pickled jalapenos, which would have killed me previously. LOL!Dr. Meier has also done three colonoscopies, starting when I reached fifty years of age. My father had colon cancer, so I am at a higher risk, thus my three screenings within ten years. The colonoscopies themselves are a breeze, aside from the cleansing/no eating period of two days, which is not fun. I have found Dr. Meier to be reliable, competent, and thorough. He has helped me live a better life, and that's all that I can ask for in a physician.
