If I could leave a negative, I would.
Dr.Cox done my Sleeve in 2019 and just done my gastric bypass on April 12th 2021 to get rid of my acid reflux he is truly amazing doctor very caring and understands his patients
Dr.Cox was my surgeon on December 17th 2019 he was absolutely amazing my incisions look great not bad scaring at all leading up to my surgery he kept me very informed about what' was going to happen and how I would be after surgery he just gave me so much hope and honestly believed in me as a patient i can honestly say he loves what he does and he gives people there life back he is very understanding and so caring and so kind I highly recommend him to anybody that is looking to find a great bariatric surgeon hes Awesome check out one of his seminars.
I never got to see him after all my hard work. I am looking to have gastric sleeve done and I have gotten all of my appointments done to finally see the surgeon. There is so much to do and on top of that I had to go to a cardiologist because some heart issues came up so I was delayed another two months. I am a ex smoker as of 4-9-2020 after smoking for 35 years. I worked hard to quit smoking in the last 4 months because I wanted to quit for my health not just this surgery. I have tried to quit in the past but never really had success. This time I have done amazing which should be a good thing but to see Dr Cox you have to be smoke free for 90 days. I told the truth and said I wasnt quit yet because honesty is best when it comes to your health. I thought you had to quit before your surgery but I misunderstood. I took the day off work for this appointment and was told 90 days smoke free. How disappointing for someone who worked so hard to quit. Looking for new surgeon.
Dr. Cox let my husband lie in intensive care for 4 days knowing his damaged spleen required removal due to internal damages and bleeding after a car accident. The surgery suddenly became an emergency on Saturday afternoon. He was rushed into surgery by Dr. COX for a spleenectomy and he came out of the operating room on a Ventilator for 7 days. Once the Vent came out and he required a chest tube the Surgeons in the same practice became angry at our family because we requested he be sent to Baptist hospital. He was in Baptist for 10 more days due to the incompetence we encountered by this surgeon.
I went in to see Dr Cox to find out what it would take and cost to have a couple of lumps removed from one of my legs. First of all I talked to the doctor for 5 minutes they sent me straight into another room to schedule my appointment to have the lumps removed without even talking about cost First. I decided not to do it until they gave me an estimate of how much it was going to cost to remove the lumps. Today I received a bill in the mail. This Office charges $290 for a quick consultation. If I had known this ahead of time I never would have scheduled the consultation appointment to begin with. This is completely insane! $290?? For a consultation visit that did not require any kind of X-ray nothing except for a quick glance
Dr. Cox did a great job on my RNY surgery in 2014 ! Highly recommended.
I had out patient surgery in his office. He gave me an honest assessment for the procedure on my first visit. He performed the surgery as he had described and did an outstanding job. It has been two months and everything has healed perfectly with all my pain gone. I highly recommend Dr. Cox
Dr Cox was very accurate about reading my cat scan and x rays which prevented me from having needless sugery. I can't recommend him enough!
Dr Cox did my gastric bypass. He was professional, supportive, and always interested with my recovery and progress. His treatment was so good I was able to make 27 laps around the surgical floor my first time up after surgery.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
