Peter Alford's Online Review Report Card

This doctor introduced himself by saying that “something sinister” was going on with my 90 year old mother. My mother fainted (no AC in building) and he quickly left the room and asked a nurse to attend to her. I have never met anyone as rude, arrogant, and insensitive as him. I would never see him again or recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Alford saved my life about 6 years ago. I was in Fry Hospital with the Flu and Pneumonia. For three days I was totally out of it. The hospital doctors just did very little Dr. Alford and at this time his associate Dr. Erwin ask if anyone had checked my blood gases and they said no. Well he did & pt me on a Ventilator for a week and I recovered fully. These two men with God leading them pulled me back from death. Dr. Erwin is a top Notch Pulmonary Dr. and Dr. Alford is also. It galls me that this man does not have a 5 star rating, as he is the best there is in caring for his patients.

I have never been treated so poorly by a physician. Very rude. Showed no concern regarding my abnormal CT. Added a diagnosis of COPD after my office visit yet this was never discussed with me at my visit. Had to wait an hour before seeing him. Complained about having to review all the studies in had done. I will never see this physician again!!

My first visit to Dr. Alford's office was a pleasant one. I felt everyone that I met was very friendly and courteous. I have COPD. The nurses and doctors took time with me, examining, testing, and asking pertinent questions about my symptoms and treatment. You could tell they were dedicated caregivers and were there for the welfare of the patient. It was a positive experience for me.

I visited him several times for sleep study and CPAP setup. Arrogant! He met with some associates in the waiting room setting up a sailing expedition while I waited past me apt time. His office overcharged me for my copay. He was poorly organized upon my arrival. Plus it took him over 30 days to read my sleep study and provide an analysis. 30 days for something that took maybe a minute to do! I haven't been back. I filed a complaint with the hospital and they refunded my money. All I c an hope for is that it came out of his pocket.

He has frequently been rude and sarcastic with me when I have seen him. He does not appear to be concerned or compasionate. He has taken me off IV steroids 240 mg. per day (in hospital) without a taper. This is very dangerous and could have resulted in adrenal crisis which can be life threatening. He has taken unnecessary risks with me on several occasions. I think he should be reviewed by the medical board and his license should be suspended before someone does die in his care.

I didnt see him but was with a friend who did and he was very rude and didnt help her with her asthma,I have seen her with these asthma attacks and she has almost died before in hosiptal and he takes her medicines away from her what's up with that anyway I think he needs a refresher course on asthma
