Very caring and compassionate doctor. Very respectful and has time for questions to be asked and answered.
Dr. Russell is wonderful. Explains everything in detail. Very encouraging. So blessed we had him!
I've seen Dr Russell for a second opinion and I'm more then satisfied! He has helped me figure out what the problem is, and helped solve it. I'd surely recommend him to anyone who is looking! Also the nurse and the front desk are very friendly! They all make me feel comfortable while I'm in the office.
Excellent bedside manner. Fixed my leg right up
I cannot tell you, however I will. Tell you how wonderful Dr Russell is, and how lucky I was to find him. I have used Ortho Carolina for over 20 years and after 7 visits 2 surgeries and 2 Doctor's leaving the Lincolnton office in 1 year it was time to find a new Orthopedic Surgeon. I started calling around to offices near Lincolnton and finally found Dr. Russell's practice. Joe who is Dr Russell's assistant answered the phone. Even though it is not his job especially at lunch time, he still answered the phone. Joe spent over 30 minutes with me. He answered my questions and spoke so highly about Dr Russell's skills and abilities, I booked an appointment immediately. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by Cheryl, I won't say she is the office receptionist because she has worked as a high level medical administrator at a major university. Cheryl is actually in controll of all things paperwork and patient related for the practice. She is also an extremely easy person to talk to. She will answer any questions about the journey you are about to go on and offer her assistance or help at any time. My wife and I sat in the waiting room for all of 2 minutes before we were called into a office for my appointment. There I didn't wait at all, Joe stepped in right away, introduced himself to my wife and remembered everything about me and our phone call. Please keep reading, the rest is important for your decision to go to Dr. Russell. Joe took all my my information in a pleasant kind way and then told us Dr. Russell would be right in. I waited about 3 minutes for Dr. Russell to come in, he was probably reading Joe's notes. Please read carefully, Dr. Russell is a very pleasant, courteous, professional, knowledgeable and low key Orthopedic Surgeon. Most Orthopedic Doctors I have met are overly confident, rushed and want to spend very little time with you and your problem. Dr. Russell will spend the time needed to answer your questions, explain the procedure to you and what to expect when it is completed. I scheduled the surgery right away. This is when Cheryl and Frye outpatient surgery took over and did a great job preparing me for the procedure. Here is another area to read carefully. On the morning of the procedure I saw Dr. Russell before I went into the operating room, not rushed answering questions. I complimented him on how well things were going and he didn't take all the credit, he said it was his team! When I entered the operating room Dr. Russell greeted me and then did something no other surgeon has ever done. Dr. Russell assisted in getting me off the gurney and scooting me into place on the operating room table, making sure I was comfortable. Then Dr Russell and his team took over. After surgery I saw Dr. Russell who told me everything went well. He had already spoken to my family, giving them all the details and aftercare instructions. My first visit was the next day by video link. The link didn't work, so he spent more time over the phone answering my questions, making sure I was healing correctly and ensuring I had everything that I needed. NOW, in short! I am a pain in the butt 60 year old who is retired. For 15 years, through high school varsity wrestling, boxing, heavy weight power lifting, military service, 100 mile bike rides with my wife. Then playing racquetball like a contact sport. Basically breaking my joints apart bit by bit. I am without any reservations, reccommding you use Dr. Russell as your Orthopedic Surgeon/Doctor. He is amazing! You may not get that feeling from the start, however he in his treatment care and concern unlike any other Orthopedic Surgeon I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot in my 60 years. Please do yourself a favor, find Dr. Russell and his practice. Make an appointment with him. Do not think the big 30 office, 100 plus Doctor, Ortho Carolina is the place to go. They are not! Go there only if you want to be treated like a number and communicate with your Doctor's 2cd assistant by email only!
Not what expected No professionalism.. You in pain from them cutting on you. Oh well cut your meds off no notice.. Then dont call to check on you or nothing..i could go on but u get it

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
