Wake Forest Baptist Health's Online Review Report Card

Patient since September 2020. Last procedure May 2021. I have had 7 injection procedures for my chronic severe back pain. I have received less than 30 totally days of relief combined. Each procedure was supposed to “provide lasting relief.” All I got were huge bills.1) I informed nurse of worsening pain running down my right leg (diagnosed static nerve pain). Her response was “ fibromyalgia.” Ummm. NO, read my chart.2) Messages left either by phone or my chart are either not acknowledged at all or response is severely delayed (as in days or a week or more).3) People don’t go to pain management because they have ouchies. We go in most cases because we have SEVERE CONSTANT PAIN.The staff here clearly has no concept or compassion for this. It shows in their speech, mannerisms & behavior towards patients with every contact.This isn’t pain management by any definition. This is an injection line/mill.

Would not recommend this place to anyone and will be searching to find my mother a new facility. They were supposed to send a referral for her to get further treatment... it has been 5 weeks and we have heard nothing from them. She is now out of medication and we have been calling for 4 days and left numerous voicemails with no response from the facility. There is not even an option to speak with a human being. This is terrible patient care and it will be reported. I understand that COVID has placed a strain on most facilities but this is not acceptable.

The doctors and nurses provide great care and help relieve my chronic shoulder pain.
