List of Triangle Visions Optometry's Reviews
I have been a patient of Triangle Visions (even before it became Triangle Visions) for many years. I normally purchase a years supply and this morning I realized that I needed two right contacts to finish out my prescription. When I called the office, I was told my prescription expired in July and they refused to even give me one right contact. I explained I needed to change my contacts and was still refused. I have never had a problem with Triangle Visions until last year (contacts took forever to get filled) and thought it was a fluke...but I consider this poor service and will consider whether to return. I am disappointed they do not seem to care about me as a patient; a patient without contacts.
Positive interactions with supportive knowledgeable staff. Dr. Rodgers is easy to talk and work with.
Great experience with Triangle Vision Optometry in Hillsborough! Saw Dr. Eric Rodgers and he did a detailed eye exam, asked a lot of good questions, was professional and friendly. The office was busy when I arrived but they still took me close to my appointment time and I ordered contacts after the exam and still was all done in under an hour.
I have had one appointment with this office and attempted to make another today. My first interaction with them several years ago ended poorly after a very unpleasant glass fitting session with the manager. He kept insisting my prescription was fine and I just needed to give it time. This was after several weeks of not adjusting to the new glasses. I ended up leaving and went to a different office for my glasses. I contacted them again today only because of their proximity. The woman I spoke with was rude and short during our conversation and stated I needed to listen to what the doctor tells me and not how a prescription helps or doesn't help my vision. In both instances the message was very clear - you're just the patient, you can't know what's right for you and what prescription is appropriate; we will tell you what you need and your opinion and ability to tolerate a new prescription is of no concern. Needless to say I will not return to this office. I found another office that listened to my concerns, understood what I was saying and a plan was made so I can get glasses that work for me.
UPDATE 5/25/21: I got the text message yesterday at 4:02 that my glasses were ready and just picked them up. Increased to 2 stars bc the Dr. and most other staff at this location were awesome. Lab and call center really need to get it together.UPDATE 5/22/21: I had still not received a call back from this clinic so I rearranged my work schedule, packed up my infant, and went to the clinic in person on 5/20/21 (4 weeks since sending glasses for new lens). Parnitha helped me and was very polite and professional. She called the "lab" where my lens was still being made and after waiting awhile on hold, promised to call me once she had an update. She did call me and reported that the lab said they would send the lens to the clinic that night and I would likely get a text letting me know my glasses were ready for pickup on 5/21/21. I still have not received that text.UPDATE 5/18/21: Still have not received a call back. Called again and asked to be transferred to the Hillsborough office straight away. The phone rep was very nice and attempted to get the Hillsborough clinic on the phone but no answer. She left them another message.ORIGINAL REVIEW 5/13/21: I wanted to give this clinic the benefit of the doubt after several not-so-great experiences with their customer service representatives. I told myself I would leave this review if I had any further issues. My first appointment was on March 24th and Dr. Marshall was WONDERFUL. The sales associates were kind and helped me pick out a great pair of frames. 7 business days later, I received a text message that my glasses were ready for pick-up. When I picked them up, the right eye prescription was off and the associate told me to give the glasses time to get used to them. She was not overly friendly. At home, the over correction was more obvious so I went back the next day, infant in tow. The associate who helped me the day before spoke to the associate working with me as if I were not there, telling her she told me I just needed to get used to the new glasses and that my glasses were "just for computer work" and would not be clear for distance vision. The associate working with me used some testing lenses to check the prescription, kindly put a note in my file, and told me to wait a week or two and then schedule an appointment with the Dr. to check the prescription. I gave the glasses a try for 2 weeks and then called to make a follow-up appointment. The answering representative told me I didn't need an appointment, to just walk in and an associate would help me. I told her I was told to schedule an appointment with the Dr. and she said she put in a message to call me back. I didn't receive a call back. The next day, I called and the same thing. The representative transferred my call. The associate at the Hillsborough location was kind but repeated that I didn't need an appointment so I explained the situation again. I finally had my follow-up appointment on April 22. Dr. Marshall was wonderful again. The prescription for my right eye WAS too strong so we ordered a new lens. I was told it would take about 2 weeks. I called on May 10 and the representative had a terrible attitude and told me I would be texted when my glasses were ready. I called again today (5/13, 3 weeks) to find out when I might expect my glasses. Today's representative also had a terrible attitude (maybe the same person) and answered my question with "you'll be notified when they are ready". When I tried to ask if the clinic could follow-up with the manufacturer, I was cut off, suddenly on hold, then the phone rang, then a voicemail recording. The representative did not say she was putting me on hold or transferring my call. I left a message but after past experiences, am not expecting a call back. How long should it take to remake one lens? Shouldn't the customer/patient be contacted when there is a delay? Why was it so difficult to get an appointment to have the prescription checked? It has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience.
My family goes to Triangle Visions Optometry for our annual eye exams. Everything is clean, all the staff are friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this practice.
Triangle Visions is a great place to get eye exams and prescriptions. However, their prices for frames and lenses is at least 3 times what it costs to get comparable quality online. They are unable to put new lenses in existing frames or fill an eyeglass prescription quickly.
Great service and I love my new prescription sunglasses!
excellent service and answered all questions and concerns
Everyone from the doctor to the technicians, was friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant. The facility is modern, clean, and attractive. We were served on time and efficiently. Pricing is competitive.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
