*Long post alert* 🚨🚨🚨🚨 I've been going to KCHM for a few years. Even after the asking them to switch the doctor I saw. She had bad bedside manner in my opinion. Matter-of-fact, I overheard that I wasn't the only one who thought so. Thankfully, the next one was great, but he ended up leaving. The last one I had was great, also. This one I saw over the last couple of years. Last month, I was about to run out of one of my prescriptions. So I called the pharmacy to refill it. I ran out. No problem. I'll call the doctor to let them know that I need to get a refill. This is basically something that I get regularly and HAVE TO HAVE. I assumed that all was well, and called the pharmacy only to find out that it wasn't filled. OK, fine. Lemme call the office to see what's the issue. I called, and explained to one of the ladies in the office that I was inquiring about my prescription. "The doctor is out. I will send her a message and she will get back to you." By this time, I'm getting low on my meds. So I expressed how imperative it was for me to have it. I'm not trying to be in anyone's hospital. A few days later, I called the pharmacy. Still nothing. By now, I'm getting a lil ill. The lady from the doctor's office tells me that because I haven't been there in a while that they couldn't fill it out. I expressed to her that I got the, "see you in 6 month" from them....6 months ago. On top of the fact that I've been going there for years. What's the problem?!?! I said, "Ok. Well I should be on the schedule for an appointment within the next few weeks. Plus I'm scheduled for an annual physical. Since I'm on the calendar (they scheduled me for sometime in March), can you write out my prescription?" "That shouldn't be a problem", she said. Once again, I expressed how important it was for me to have it. Two days later, I call the pharmacy. Nothing. By now, I'm pissed. I call the office and was told that they were not writing me my prescription until I've been seen. Ma'am, my appointment wasn't until a few weeks. I need it now. They wouldn't do it. Then, miraculously there was an availability that afternoon. That day, was my birthday. Now I gotta spend my day in the doctor's office so I can finally get my meds. The doctor comes in and asked me was I Ok. Because I'm normally "chipper." So I gave her the rundown and she was clueless. She had know idea what was going on. She basically told me that should've never happened. She apologized, even though she knew nothing. She said that she would get to the bottom of the situation. She did roundup some nurses and they sang to me and gave me a lemon merengue pie. LOL SMH. But, it was too late. I was pissed. So yeah....I'm good on them.
I have been a patient of Doctor Rios and Doctor Martin for several years, and also my children. The service is excellent, the staff very friendly and respectful. They make me feel like family.
This is about to be long. The dentist is great especially Dr Marty! Most of the dental assistants are helpful too. The only reason why this is two stars and not one is because of Dr Marty. The particular African American man dental assistant that was with him on 9/20/21 at 10:45 am appointment seemed somewhat ok at first. He kept talking about he just seen my momma and kept taking about it like he knew her 20 years. My mama only talked to him just a couple of times with general convo. He was saying things like "you're just like your mamma" "you laugh just like your mamma" and "you act just like your mamma". Over and over again until he finally ceased it. I thought something was kind of suspect then, but we made small talk about the dental work that I was going to have done. Fast forward to Dr. Marty numbing me up for the fillings. He left the room so the numbing medicine can take it's time to fully set in. There is a suction straw they use for you to spit in to take away any bacteria or any unnecessary medicine that is left in your mouth. There is no swallowing in any form. So it here goes, when Dr. Marty left, this man told me that "I swallow real good too". My first internal thought was what did this man just say? I told him no I don't!!! It was disrespectful, inappropriate and deragatory and also demeaning to say that to a patient that is getting their teeth work on. People have anxiety and nervousness when getting their mouth done. Who wants to hear something like that? I reported him to dental clinic, receptionist and to the compliance coordinator who was very helpful. I don't know what that man does behind closed doors, but he certainly don't need to be seeing any female patients. That man has a perverted and flirtatious spirit on him. That would not make anyone comfortable being around him. Again, the compliance coordinator handled it well. In future reference, he may not need to be a dental assistant anymore because that man is going to cause y'all a sexual harassment lawsuit. He is a liability. Plus he wasn't doing a proper job. Too much water from the procedure kept getting on my arm and chin. I thought I was going swimming. The man wasn't even properly wiping the water off. Again the man gave me the creeps and do not need to be working around women. I don't know what he does off the clock, but whatever it is, it is seeping into his "professional" life. I had to ask to see the fillings when the procedure was done instead of automatically showing me. Then he states "you want to ask now, now that the mirror is out your face". I had glasses on due to the bright light when Dr. Marty was working on my teeth, plus I closed my eyes when he's working on it. When asking a question about the fillings after the procedure was done, he states "you will be ok to go on your dates". This man's mind is clearly not on anything professional. I told him no, this is not about dates, but if I want to go out to the store in general because there is a small hole still there, would I be ok. The man was just creepy. I have a feeling he has been complained on before. I was thinking the next time will be a sexual harassment lawsuit and I don't play those games. The office and compliance coordinator was helpful and that they told me that I don't have to worry about that again. They took care of it for me, so they did their part. The bottom line is LADIES WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT ALLOW THIS MAN TO BE YOUR OR DAUGHTER'S DENTAL ASSISTANT!!!! MEN, HIDE YOUR WIFE, HIDE YOUR KIDS! IF YOU SEE HIM ASK FOR SOMEONE ELSE. PROTECT YOUR SELF & THE ONE'S YOU LOVE. THIS MAN IS NOT FIT TO BE WORKING AROUND WOMEN. RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!!!
I've gone here for over 20 years and the quality of service has definitely gone down. Dr. Blake was the best KCHC ever had. It was obvious she cared about her patients, their health and time.
Sorry to hear payment is due at time of service for a follow up appointment. Not even accepting any type of payment on services. I will take my business elsewhere.
They did not have the decency to call & let us know they were closed today. Constantly rescheduling appts. Just unprofessional staff.
I thank them for everything they do!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
