Everyone was extremely kind! Dr. Beasley was very thorough!

Writing this from the office. My appointment was at 11:30, it's now 12(Lunch Time) and I still haven't been seen. I got here at 11 and the waiting room/parking lot was empty, thought I'd get called back early, not delayed.

Great staff and super friendly and knowledgeable.

My Husband was recently seen by Dr. Goheen. Six, SIX, doctors and a radiographer missed what Dr. Goheen was able to identify in a single visit. A small ulcer forming over a mass in his throat. Dr. Goheen, as busy and brilliant and in demand as she is, got him into surgery for a biopsy the very next day, where we were treated with some of the best care we have ever experienced. Results were emailed the day following that..This is obviously not good news, yet, she was able to deliver it delicately and to the point. Thanks to her, and her alone, we now have an early detection and a minimally invasive, viable solution to this very nasty problem.I cannot praise Dr. Goheen & her amazing staff, but especially Nurse Tammy, enough! Thank you for doing what you do every day and saving this man, son, husband, father, small business enployer, and love of my life. Our world would be rocked to its core had Dr. Goheen not become a vital part of our family's care plan .

The staff and Dr.Goheen are amazing. after in office sinus balloon not working, The staff worked with my insurance to get me in and finish the job with inpatient surgery. Always welcoming and easy to work with. I highly recommend them!

The very best care you could ask for! The staff from office to Doctors are amazing. Dr. Goheen is an angel. She performed surgery on my mom and was upfront about facial paralysis being an almost certain outcome due to the location of the tumor. However, she was able to do surgery without cutting the nerve and my mom's face is slowly returning to normal. Dr. Goheen has been so patient and reassuring each visit afterwards. We love her. Thank you, you are the best Doctor!

I do have a fb account if any have questions, I know I do not have to give my name but I have choose to, I have Frey syndrome and first bite syndrome, I had surgery on a parotid gland that had a benign tumor which everyone said had to be removed. (I disagree now) but atlease it should be in warning of a parotid gland surgery, but it is not matter of fact most ENT's are clueless Miss Dr. Barbar Goheen was willing to listen to my problems, and she diagnose the Frey syndrome, I already knew i had first bite syndrome, other Dr. put me on oxycodone which do nothing for frey or first bite syndromes the more i complain the more they up the oxycodone until Miss Dr. Goheen switch me to Gabapentin in turn i am off oxycodone and the pain is very manageable now, but Frey is still doing its thing. I have a lot of grief over the Dr. that did the surgery and the surgery itself not being informed. I have look up some things here. From the internet so take that for what you will. so looking and i know result are different depending where you look, Frey syndrome is about 15% and First Bite syndrome about 10% chances of both is about .001% to bad that is not the lottery. It is caused by injury to a nerve, called the auriculotemporal nerve, typically after surgical trauma to the parotid glandWhat is first bite syndrome? First bite syndrome is characterized as pain in the parotid (salivary gland) gland or lower jaw area (mandibular region) at the first bite and, subsequently improves with each bite. The cause is unclear but, may be related to nerve impairment from surgery or other conditions.How is it treated?There are a number of ways that first bite syndrome is treated, with varying degrees of benefit.Medications: Research has shown that oral and topical pain medications, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, are not effective in treating first bite syndrome. Carbemazepine, an anticonvulsant, has been shown to reduce the intensity of the pain and amitriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant, reduces duration of pain. Combinations of anticonvulsants and tricyclic antidepressants do not eliminate the pain, but lessen the severity and duration.Radiation Therapy: Radiation is not commonly used to treat first bite syndrome, but can be beneficial. The injections themselves can be uncomfortable but this is the only treatment that has been found to fully resolve the symptoms in most cases. In rare cases, these injections can lead to facial nerve injury and xerostomia (dry mouth). Speak to your provider about how often these injections can be given.First bite syndrome can greatly affect a person’s every day life. It is important to notify your provider if you think you may be suffering from first bite syndrome so that together you can decide on a treatment plan.
