Kohn Harvey's Online Review Report Card

I DENIED a tubal in office. When he found out I was having a c-section he asked (my husband)when I was in full labor and under duress. 3 epidurals and a spinal block that didn't work. I don't remember signing documentation. It was a long hard labor. Its been 20 yrs and I'm still angry about it.

I find Dr. Harvey to be very personable, friendly and knowledgeable with the examination of the skin cancer around my eye. When at my visit, I do not feel rushed and feel comfortable asking any questions my wife or I have. One and 1/2 years ago he very successfully performed surgery on this area and did a cosmetically nice job. I have had 2 follow-up appointments since, and am comfortable and relieved with his "all clear" statement and suggestions to continue with annual check-ups.

Dr John Harvey is rude, arrogant and should not be dealing with the public. Barely acknowledged me in the room and was completely uninterested in helping.

We met Dr Harvey @ MM children’s hospital. My son got bitten by a dog on his face and his left lower eye lid was torn. It was pre Xmas time and around 10pm during the weekend. We went to Burlington hospital and were sent to MM children’s hospital. Emergency dr took picture of my son’s eye and sent to the drs that might be able to help. Everything happened so fast - by the time we arrived to MM dr Harvey was there. My son was in surgery within next hour. He did a marvellous job!! You could never tell there was anything wrong with my son’s eye. He was pleasant and professional. He left dinner at his place to help us. I could never thank him enough. He did a superb work!!

My husband recently saw this doctor to have some skin tags removed near the eye. The doctor was not very friendly but that’s not a big deal. The assistant was late so he waited an hour to pay her and get his surgery. There were Student doctors at my appointment as well and they were supposed to prepare the sites that were being repaired and put anesthetic there. Out of the 5 areas they only froze 3, needless to say it was very painful, especially since is was so close to my eye and lids. I blame the doctor for not checking to see if the student doctors did indeed do there job, and for not at least marking the areas so they knew each site being worked on. I guess what you need to do is make sure that they are doing the right things in the first place to avoid any extra pain. That is why this is not a good review for this doctor..

As others have stated, he was extremely rude and mannerless. I am surprised he has not changed his ways given the feedback here.

Had a great experience....very nice Doctor! During the minor surgery he told me step by step what he was doing which put me at ease. I thought his bedside manner was great!

Poor communication skills. Very little explanation. Poor skills in engaging patient in the very brief assessment. Likely would be sent for more training if he were a student today. Wants a 6 month follwup appointment arranged. Why bother putting unearned money in his pocket.

Dr. Kohn’s office don’t care about your health at all.... He sent me to a specialist because he said my baby kidneys was abnormal and come to find out the kidneys was normal but there was other problems he failed to recognize. Then he came into my room one day and told me my baby might die when she was born and had me emotionally broken down and my baby is doing just fine.. every problem I was telling him about during my appointments he ignored and said it’s normal come to find out none of it was “normal” and Duke end up having to take my baby earlier than expected. Now because I’m getting my 4 week postpartum at Duke his staff going to tell me that I am no longer under his care since I chose to do my postpartum at Duke because he won’t get paid for it.. smh

Dr.Khon and his staff are SUPER AWESOME! His staff is super sweet friendly kind and caring ladies. Dr. Khon is just sweet and takes time to listen and does a great job. I'm thankful to have Dr.Khon as my ob/gyn.
