Dr. Slyman is thorough in his exams and genuinely cares about each of his patients. I recommend him and his staff for eye care and eye health for the entire family.

Dr Slyman is absolutely wonderful! He took very good care of my mother. There were a few issues with the accounting / check out process but I was able to get it worked out. I would definitely recommend Dr Slyman!

Dr. Slyman is great but his staff is terrible. I mistakenly thought my appointment was at 10:45 a.m. I arrived at the office at approximately 10:35 a.m. I registered, provided my insurance cards, and sat down in the lobby. The receptionist called me back up to the desk and said that since I was late, they could not see me. I explained that my appointment was at 10:45, and she immediately said, "No, your appointment was at 10:25, we are already running behind, and the Technician said we cannot see you today." My being late had nothing to do with them running behind that day so that is their fault. This was a Friday morning and they close at lunch, so I am sure they wanted to hurry up and leave.

At least three eye doctors were unable to diagnose the disease I have in both my eyes. My husband and I drove from the Greensboro area to Lexington to see Dr. Slyman, where during the first visit, he diagnosed a hereditary disease in both of my eyes. He referred me to NC Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, and in the past three years, Matt Gigengach, MD has performed a cornea transplant to both eyes. Now my vision is near perfect in both eyes, and I am no longer in pain. Thank you, Dr. Slyman!

Dr. Slyman was able to diagnose me with a hereditary eye disease that at least three other eye doctors were unable to detect. He referred me to NC Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem where I was seen by Matt Gigengach, MD. In the past three years Dr. Gigengach has replaced my cornea in both eyes. As a result, my vision is near perfect in both eye, and I am no longer in pain. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Slyman for restoring my eyesight. Thank you, Dr. Slyman!

I have been a patient of Dr. Slyman's for more than 30 years. He is an exception doctor and has taken great care of my eyes. The cataract surgery I had went very well, and I feel like I have brand new eyes!
