I'd give Dr. Aswad and her staff 100 stars if I could. She's performed 5 procedures on me from a simple punch biopsy all the way to a lengthy major surgery and has done excellent work. She has outstanding bedside manner. I wouldn't want anyone else to cut me.

After reading some reviews and seeing only 3 stars, I was leery about my husband being referred to Dr Aswad for his first routine colonoscopy. I discussed this with our Family Practitioner, who assured me that Dr Aswad is an outstanding physician. I am so glad we listened, because we had an excellent experience with both her office, as well as Dr Aswad herself. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Aswad to my family & friends, and we will continue to consult her if any future need arises.

I have called for 3 weeks to make an appt to speak with Dr Aswad. I can't get past the front desk! They keep telling me she is on call (I believe this!) But no one will make me an appt until "they" talk to her. My issue is not an emergency but I was refused an appt after she was just my surgeon in July 2022. I believe Dr Aswad is a brilliant surgeon but her front office lacks professionalism. I have been told 4 times someone would call me back and no one has- yet. I called again today but I hear the same story each time. I just want an appt to discuss my concerns with Dr Aswad. I do not need the front desk screening my calls.

Just called for an appt as I am a pt of record at this office and the woman that answered the phone was so incredibly RUDE! I never write reviews but this experience left me in tears. Just the most hateful person I have ever spoken to, I myself am in the health care field, this person should be ashamed of herself.

Great bedside manner. Always truthful.

Had to have a tooth pulled after she went down my throat the big thing in my mouth had to have been yanked because it was a perfect jaw tooth. And Staci was gonna do my hernia but she was so hateful I asked my Dr for a referral somewhere else

Dr Aswad was with me every step of the way when I found out I had breast cancer. She’s very compassionate and has great bedside manner.

Do not use this doctor or the hospital she does most of her surgeries out of. She basically killed my mother by botching up a simple gallbladder surgery. Hit my moms intestine. Days went by and dr Aswad knew my mom was in bad shape. This doctor never led up with the family. We were told she was on vacation. Her partner came in for 5 min and left. 1 week went by and no follow up from Aswad. We moved my mom downtown Charlotte. It still took days to figure things out with still no follow up from Aswad. My mom died 3 weeks from the procedure from being septic due to the intestines being knicked during the surgery. A terrible doctor who only cares about certain patients of hers and not all. No follow up or even calling to express her sympathy. She should not be practicing !! The nursing staff was terrible. Unprofessional and some were so new they didn’t know what they were doing and had. I supervision. Dr Aswad killed my mother !

I personally never got the chance to meet with Dr aswad. I was told I would see her before surgery, after if I was lucky? The nurse practitioner, which was staci hoyle!! Came in with a very unpleasant personality, and major attitude!!!she was very rude, telling me what she thought could be a problem, yet not certain. Explained how my procedure would go. Considering I will be having two different procedures, though not at the same time. she literally had me in tears! There was nothing positive about her! All I received was negative comments and a negative attitude. Therefore I will not be going back to have any procedures done, all because of her!!! I'm not saying anything negative about dr aswad herself. But it only takes one person to ruin the trust of any staff! Because when having any procedures, I would expect to be able to meet with the dr before hand. In the office, not right before my surgery. And I was denied that right. Which made me very uncomfortable and upset. All I needed was to be heard and treated like a person who's questions we're answered with genuine respect. What I received was the total opposite! I have never had a nurse make me feel as uncomfortable, and violated than staci made me feel!!! Worst experience of my life!!!

I had a Colonosocpy today, and Dr. Aswad was great! Spoke with me before and after the procedure. Everyone at the dept, was great. I would recommend her to anyone needing a procedure, or surgery. Great bedside manner.
