This e.r. is unsuitable to be open the staff knowingly allowed a covid positive patient to walk around the e.r. with no mask on endangering every person in the waiting room

Definitely the best hospital in our area with the shortest wait time. Wonderful staff and we are always treated with respect and courtesy. I drive all the way from Asheville to come to this Hospital. So grateful for McDowell mission and all the dedicated people who work there

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2020. My surgeon Dr. Roddenberry a general surgeon at Mission was amazing. He always took the time to explain everything to me wanted to answer any questions I had. My mastectomy was in Sept. 2020I was so impressed with all the staff doctors. Connie was the ER nurse that day. I love her she held my hand made me feel safe. It was a great experience believe it or not. I have since been back to Mission for different procedures everytime Im blown away by how much every single person on the staff is always smiling friendly truly care about the patients. They know their stuff when it comes to your health I am always so thankful for this hospital everytime I go. I want to thank everyone on the staff because the fact that you all work as a team makes Mission the best hospital.

Everything depends on the doctors on staff that day. I have had both good and bad experiences. Most often the issue I run into is not being believed. I have an issue with chronic pain that started back when midren was removed from shelves. This medicine was used in the treatment of migraines but doubled as a pain suppressant like Lyrica. I am often not taken seriously by some of the staff due to this history.

ER doctors and nurses were all nice and courteous. We were in and out in about 2 hours with an xray and everything so it was quick. My 3 year old was a bit scared and anxious and the nurses and doctors all treated her well. The doctor listened to us and explained things pretty thoroughly.Only negative I have to say is that there seemed to be a miscommunication issue between nurses. My daughters vitals got lost I guess because they had to come in again and take them which is fine mistakes happen. There also was a miscommunication between the nurses in the back and front because they wouldnt let my husband back for 45 mins which was a bit frustrating but not the end of the world because we were being seen for a minor injury.All in all I was happy with our time there.
