Wonderful doctor who makes a visit seem like just that, a visit. PA Ruth is also a remarkable doctor, she never fails to ask if there are any concerns you would like to mention. I've had several physicians over the past several years, now I have a physician I will have forever. I don't need to look any further.

I have been seeing Dr. Bartels for many, many yrs. and she has always treated me with kindness and respect. She listens to me very well and tries to help me with all my health problems. If she can't, she sends me to someone who CAN help me. I really appreciate her, and am glad that she is my Dr.

Nothing personal but she will not even get on the phone with me to give me results of a test. She has her nurse do it. Furthermore, i can not get an appointment with her for at least 2 months in advance which forces me to go somewhere else or see a PA. The entire place is like this and provides inferior medical service to the citizens of McDowell County
