List of David E. Kang's Reviews
His only concern seems to be what’s best for you as a patient.
Had kidney stone stent removed by Dr. Kang. He did not explain the potential pain that could come after stent was removed. He only told me i may experience spasms. He gave no recommendations for medications and did not prescribe any pain meds. I ended up returning to the ER that night to deal with the pain. Terrible experience - would not recommend this practice. I will not be returning.
Dr. Kang performed the Rezum procedure to treat my BPH. He did a thorough examination to gather necessary information as to whether or not I would be a good candidate for the procedure. I was fortunately a candidate for the Rezum procedure. He explained in detailed (even drawing a few diagrams) as to what would be involved. I am only completing this after my full recovery so that I could provide an honest assessment. He did an outstanding job!! I highly recommend Dr. Kang to anyone that has BPH or other urological issues!! He answered all my questions I had during my recovery in a timely fashion and in great detail that I could understand. His entire staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Dr. Kang and everyone in his office are first class. I had to drive over an hour and a half to get to his office. But in the end, it was worth every mile driven.
My visit for a cystoscopy went very well. I have never had one so I did not know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. It reminded me of going to the OB/GYN to get a Pap smear (scoot buttocks down to the edge of the exam table and feet in stirrups). But this time it was to check the bladder. A numbing gel was applied to my urethra. That stung a little bit when they inserted the gel, but very little pain. Then when numb the cystoscope, a pencil-sized lighted tube with a camera or viewing lens, was inserted and I could feel some bladder pressure while the cystoscope was moved around my bladder. I am very glad I got this procedure because I was having a problem with completely emptying my bladder. The Procedure was only 15 minutes or so. He is a wonderful doctor and knowledgeable. I was able to get a medicine prescribed to help with emptying my bladder and a follow up appointment.
I had a kidney stone and also have stage IV breast and bone cancer. So, I was scared to death. They always answered my phone calls and when I finally had to go “under” to get that stubborn kidney stone out (lithotripsy didn’t work), he scheduled the surgery quickly bc I was in such terrible pain. Dr Kang was just wonderful! Answered my questions thoroughly and wisely!
Me hizo un procedimiento de terapias de vapores de agua, después el Dr. Kang, no me atendió más, siempre me atiende una asistente médico o una enfermera, a pesar que sufrí complicaciones después de la cirugía, no me ha atendido
very good
David is a very thorough Urologist. He is very interested in you as a person and your wellbeing. He is a great communicator and best of all, he cares. I have a lot of trust in David. I have been his patient for five years for annual checkups. Mitch Eudy
Well it seemed that I found a good urologist but he isn’t following up with me. I’ve called and even wrote emails and all they seem to do is try to get you in the door for the money and not take care of problem. I listen to exactly what he wanted me to do to just be left out still feeling the same as when I came in. But they prob call now and not explain over the phone so they could just get the cash instead of providing prescription. Seems that Urilogy isn’t very good in Carolinas
I am happy to extol up on the virtues of Dr Kang. Took a time to explain “the snip “ and really made me feel at ease about the procedure . I would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
