My daughter drove me to Novant health medical Center in Matthews at 11:30 AM. There was no wait. I was seen right away and Dr. Small provided the best care I’ve ever had an emergency hospital. Hi I am 81 years old so saying that Dr. Small is the best is saying a whole lot. His professionalism and attention to detail was is top notch.

I was visiting my 91 year old father this weekend which is currently a parient there (room 336), I have to share how impressed and thankful I am for nurse Aster. She was so kind yet thorough with him (even after he had bowel issues). What an asset this woman is to your hospital, I'm so thankful she is there!

I have to share the amazing care my elderly mother received at NH Matthews Medical Center. Dr. Ratterree in the ER acted promptly and thoroughly. Hospitalist Dr. Khetpal on the 4th floor was also thorough and responsive to all my questions or concerns. Siri, Palliative Care NP, showed genuine concern and compassion while keeping us informed of each step in Mom’s medical journey. The NURSES were so attentive and kind. My truest gratitude to Diamond, Eijy, and Sujana on the 4th floor. And also to CNAs Tomeka and Madison on the 4th floor. Hospice nurse Cricket was compassionate and so helpful. Best nursing care possible! Last, but certainly not least, Marie Wright in housekeeping was a daily ray of sunshine. My sweet mom deserved the very best care, and this hospital and this staff delivered it. Thank you Novant Health Matthews Medical Center!

All the nurses went to a retirement party for one of the doctors which I understand, but my mother sat in a Triage for an hour with terrible upper stomach pain while none of the employees came until her personal nurses aid spoke up and said something. The nurses are very friendly when they arrive, but simply are not punctual.

Dr.B my mom doctor while she was there I can’t thank you for bringing my mom back to who she was and making sure she left Novant healthy I can’t thank you enough also the emergency staff and the 5th floor icciu dept thank you to all mom went there without walking and walked not much but walked

I have never felt more cared for at a medical facility than I have here! We had our first baby here. With my pregnancy complications he arrived a couple of weeks early. However, the care team was nothing short of amazing. I always felt informed and knew what was going on with me and my baby. I was never made to feel bad about my pain. Communication amongst day/night shift did not skip a beat. And when getting discharged I was uncertain on breastfeeding and a lactation specialist spent time to make me feel confident in knowing how to feed my baby. If we have any other children they will 100% be born here! THANK YOU!

The stars are for the staff out front and nurses. The docs will miss broken bones, and treat patients terribly. You could break a bone in front of them, and they would miss it. You'll get asked about it a year later by real doctors who care about patients
