List of Dental Associates's Reviews
There is really poor communication with regard to billing and scheduling here. Every time I've had procedures done, I've adhered to their requirement to pay in advance, which I totally get. But every time I go to schedule my next cleaning, there's all of a sudden some other charge that's magically shown up and they won't schedule me until I pay it. Fine, then they have to transfer you to a whole separate department and then back again. Again fine, but the last time this happened, somebody dropped the ball and never put my appointment in, so I show up day of and I'm told my appointment doesn't exist. Not only that, but they're acting like I'm making it up or something and tell me their next appointment for a cleaning is 4 months out. I think running a huge dental chain is problematic and they just churn customers in and out. I'm going back to a small practice. They one reason I'm giving them two stars is because Dr. Park is awesome and I'm gonna miss him.
Dental Associates Franklin is awful! My 2 boys have an appointment for Thursday December 3, 2020 to get their wisdom teeth pulled. I was told during the consult by the dentist assistance, with both boys present and the dentist that my medical insurance will cover the remaining balance that my dental insurance didn't cover. I gave them a copy of my medical insurance card. Remind you the consult was a month ago. I was just told today 12/1 that I have to pay $1500 on 12/3? I have spoke with every manager you can think of and I'm being blown off as though they don't care that their team are clearly liars. Dental Associates is the biggest rip off place that you could ever imagine. If you have any kind of sense do not EVER GO TO ANY OF THE DENTAL ASSOCIATES-Brookfield, Burleigh/Milwaukee location, and Franklin. I HATE a so call professional dental place to try and get over and are unprofessional and lack communication.
This location plays games, has severely inexperienced hygienists and assistants, the front desk staff pretends they can't speak English if you confront them about their shady billing and the dentist does subpar work that has to be corrected by other Dr's. (Easy stuff like bonding or filings that shouldn't be hard for an "experienced" dentist). The guy acts like a big sleeze on top of everything else. They will bill you incorrectly, then even if the dentist agrees you shouldn't have been charged for certain things, the front desk will send you to collections for whatever they please all while refusing to speak English to you. The hygienists don't know how to take X-rays and act like Middle schoolers. This location should be investigated and reported to FTC and BBB. Avoid.
Called January 1, 2020. left a voice mail they never returned the call. Three weeks later booked an appt for an initial.visit....doctor gave me a "treatment plan" which included pulling what has since proved to be a perfectly good tooth months later. ....bring in the business manager for an estimate of expenses zero yes your insurance will cover everything. When I returned home I called my insurer the cost to me would have been over $2000.Virus closes everything and now they call to book me in July??? Huh these people are as sweet as they.could be while they empty your.pocket and could care less about you. Be warned.
I see Dr. Savaglio here, and I've never had a better dentist. He has incredible bedside manner, and has always made me feel comfortable no matter what the dental procedure.Excellent dentist, customer service with everyone I interact with is wonderful, 10/10 would recommend.
If i were you based on my experience i would steer clear of this practice. I was not even diagnosed before I was given a schedule of pricing and asked to pay an unreasonable amount up front Even after presenting them with my insurance that covered x-rays and extractions. I personally feel that this practice takes advantage of those who are not educated in dental office terminology or procedures and charge for unneeded services not outlined in the insured coverage. Found a practice that was professional accepted my insurance and performed the necessary procedures and examination as outlined by the insurance and did not require me to pay for these services upfront. Consumers Beware of this place and anyone in this dental association.
TERRIBLE experience!!!! I've NEVER written an online review in my life - but I don't want this to happen to anyone else.Bottom line: The orthodontist provided me with false information about Invisalign for what I assume was a ploy to try to get me to pay more money for a service I did not need. I wanted to get Invisalign on my top teeth only, since my bottom teeth are in perfect condition. During my free consultation, I was told that my top teeth are considered a "mild" case and would not require extensive aligning to get the straight smile I desired. I was excited to hear that, both from a timing and cost perspective. However, that's when the orthodontist told me that "Invisalign has a rule that you have to buy the top tray AND bottom tray, even if your other set of teeth don't require straightening." I said that seems ridiculous that Invisalign would mandate that - and she shrugged and said "It's out of our control - it's Invisalign's rule, not ours." I left frustrated that I would have to pay an extra $2,000+ for an additional tray on my bottom teeth that I don't need. So, the next day, I called Invisalign. They were incredibly helpful and immediately told me that they DO NOT HAVE A MANDATE THAT REQUIRES A TOP AND BOTTOM TRAY. They told me that Invisalign is simply the manufacturer and that they allow the orthodontist providers to decide the treatment/payment plans. I was shocked and appalled to hear this contradictory information. This led me to the conclusion that I was intentionally mislead in for what I can only assume was a ploy to get me to pay more money for a service I did not need. When Dental Associates called me back with my quote for both top and bottom teeth - I asked again "How come I need trays on top and bottom when I only need my top teeth straightened?" Their answer was the same: "It's an Invisalign rule that mandates we provide a top and bottom tray." To which I replied "Interesting - I called them yesterday and they told me its up to the orthodontist, Invisalign is just the manufacturer." They paused and said "I've never heard that before." That was when I told them I can find a better provider who won't intentionally try to scam me for more money. After this horrible experience, I went to a different orthodontist for an Invisalign consultation, and they recommended top trays only. On top of that, they said my timeline would be 9 months, as opposed to the 12 month timeline this orthodontist suggested... I hope this cautionary experience helps you understand that you can shop around for different orthodontists who all have different policies and payment terms for Invisalign. Do not assume what they tell you is true. Arm yourself with this information and know that you do NOT need to pay for top and bottom trays. It was truly shocking to learn that this office would intentionally mislead their patients. I would also imagine that Invisalign wouldn't enjoy hearing that this orthodontist is blaming Invisalign for their own policy decisions. I'll be contacting them next.
Outstanding service all around. Can't say enough about the professionalism of the staff. Dr Dongre diagnosed what I needed--a crown--& got to work. He & his staff are super friendly & efficient. I was in and out on my schedule & I can't ask for much more than that. I was looking for a new dentist &found one.
This was thus far the best experience I've had at a dentist's. I had originally scheduled cleaning and check up for a problematic tooth but after the check up doctor Savaglio was able to accommodate the extraction right away. I was clearly nervous but he made me feel comfortable (and had a great sense of humor ha!) and the procedure was painless. They also gave me an electric tooth brush and toothpaste as a gift for being a first timer. What a gesture! The entire staff was amazing and warm. The best part? The doctor himself called me a couple of days later to see how I was doing. Never had that happen before. That's some serious commitment to great customer service. I am very happy with my experience and as long as I am in Milwaukee that's my place for dental work! .
I went back for my regular cleaning after I wrote the 5 start review from my first experience - a total turn around in the experience. It was a raining day and this location does not have close by parking so I parked at the grand avenue mall (they would give voucher for that) and had to walk thru the stormy streets from a couple of blocks away. IT was so windy and impossible to use umbrellas (flip!) so I had a rain coat on but my face and my pants got pretty wet and cold by the time I got there. The front desk lady was not warm and kind, she was impatient and a bit snobbish when I asked questions about the survey she makes me fill on the iPad. Not a good start but I couldn't have foreseen worse things coming. So it turned out that my dentist and hygienist from last time were both gone. And the guy that was cleaning my teeth will not be there the next time as well if I were to return there. I do not like having to explain my teeth situation each time I go and see someone that I am not familiar with each time. However that is still not the worst thing. The hygienist did not rinse my mouth the whole time he was cleaning my teeth until it was 3/4 done and I couldn't tolerate the build up and choked on the stuff and had to get up and spit into the sink and rinse my mouth. Yeah, it felt gross, I know, and it was. I never had a hygienist that didn't rinse regularly throughout the cleaning. Still not the worst yet just when I thought it couldn't get worse.A few minutes later, he POKED INTO MY UPPER LIP with the hook tool!!! I CANT BELIVE IT!!! seriously, I wasn't even moving or anything and he just slammed it into my freaking lip! I just lost it and started crying cos it hurt and the build up of disappointment exploded. I wasn't saying anything harsh on him but I was feeling horrible. Of course he was apologetic, but I still couldn't believe he poked me after all the training he had to go thru to get the job. And when I was leaving, another woman that works there was having eye contact with his behind my back and when I turned I saw the look of her eyes saying "oh poor guy I'm sorry you had that experience with such a patient" kinda look. I couldn't freaking believe it. Seriously? I was the freaking victim and I had to pay you all! Damn!Soooooo disappointed and not recommend anyone going there without fully knowing who they are seeing.
