Brought my vision back on a damaged eye from Diabetes. I'll never take my sight for granted again. Dr. Calderon has a great personality and helped me through a difficult time of my life. Ultimately restoring my sight. Thank you to Dr. Calderon im and a great support staff at Metrolina Eye Associates.

Dr. Calderon and staff are extremely professional and kind. They took the time to explain everything from billing to the procedures. Dr. Calderon is very knowledgeable and thorough. Carmen at the front desk was extremely patient and caring. I would highly recomendable this office if you need a Retina Specialist.

I had a late afternoon eye exam, my drivers license would be expiring, and I was concerned about passing my eye test. After the exam, it was recommended that I see an eye surgeon, right away. Since my eyes were already dilated a call was made to see if Dr.Calderon was still in his office. He was, and would wait for me, saving another trip and dilation. Upon my arrival, I noted that the office, and exam rooms were very clean and pleasant. Carmen greeted me, and filled out the forms for me, since my eyes were dilated. What a nice lady. Dr Calderon performed many eye tests, he was thorough, giving simple direction. His finding was a very large macular hole, that needed to be repaired immediately. Dr Calderon calmly, and in great detail explained the procedure, and after care. Everything was made easy, by the office to ready me for surgery. Dr Calderon performed the surgery without complication. Many instructions were given to me, to insure an uneventful recovery .Calls are answered promptly, this office is very professional and pleasant. Everything Dr Calderon explained, including macular hole coming together has happened, and recovery is progressing. My review is rather long, I wanted it to reflect the excellent care I received, and continue to received. Dr Calderon is a very able, capable, excellent surgeon, along with Carmen they are both kind ,compassionate, and helpful in all ways. I am thankful to him for my eyesight. If you are in need of an eye surgeon, I would highly recommend Dr.Calderon, without a doubt. Thank you!

Dr. Calderon has helped me through a very scary experience. I ended up with a macular hole. I had never heard of such a thing. I also had never had any kind of eye surgery. But Dr. Calderon has been very thorough and calming. I had the surgery a little less than 3 weeks ago and things seem to be progressing as they should. Dr. Calderon explains everything very clearly and on my level. He also makes it clear that he is available if I need to call him with any questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Calderon.

I have found him to be excellent. He is very caring, and competent. He gave me the most thorough eye exam I’ve ever had. Plus he has a terrific personality.

Dr Calderon, is the most thorough Retina Specialist I have ever taken my mother to. She has seen numerous doctors over the years dealing with her Macular Degeneration and they all have there own techniques. Dr. Calderon is the most patient and explains in detail every thing he sees in her exams to leave with informed decisions. My mom has eye injections given every 4-5 weeks into her eyes and found Dr. Calderon to be the most gentle. Office manager Carmen is so pleasant and very informative and helpful with any matters from dealing with insurance to just answering any questions we may have. Truly a comfortable new office setting and unrushed personalized service that anyone would benefit from having him as your doctor

From the initial call his office was both professional and helpful. I was able to get a same day appointment on a Saturday. What a blessing! Dr. Calderon's practice manager Carmen directed me to their website so I was able to print all the new patient forms and necessary consents to take with me which streamlined the visit. She even had a benefits check prepared before I got there with all my insurance information in place. The office was beautiful and very up to date. Dr. Calderon was prompt and informative. He took great care during his examination and has a wonderful demeanor which put me at ease immediately. This was especially appreciated
