This doctor wants to operate. Second opinion said I did not need it yet. Advertising laser line he is the only office that can do it.

I went to see Dr. Mac after an adverse reaction to the second Moderna vaccine. Dr. Mac was completely dismissive and told me it was nothing more than dry eyes, which never were an issue prior to receiving the vaccine. In addition, he scheduled plugs to be put in my eyes for my follow up appointment without even discussing it with me or checking on my progress. I did not return.

I had the cataract surgery LenSx with Dr Mac and I am very grateful for his excellent skills and this procedure. I was in and out in an hour andI could do it in their Center, No hospitals! He communicates and listens extremely well through out the procedure. Dr. Mac and staff were very precise and followup was also excellent. After surgery I could see better when I was twenty. The best part I don't have to wear glasses, for distance or near. I am so happy with the process/results that I have told everyone I know about it.

Dr. Mac and the entire staff at Metrolina Eye exemplify all that is best in medical care. Kind, respectful, communicative, efficient, and engaged with their patients all through the process of caregiving. I recommend Dr. Mac and his team wholeheartedly to patients of any age.

I know Dr. Mac meant well, but I asked him if it was possible for my vision to get worse with vitrolysis. He assured me that it might not fix everything, but it could not get worse. I spent a lot of money and had three laser treatments, each time my vision got worse until my vision was drastically obstructed. I recently went to a new surgeon who did a vitrectomy and I am finally able to see again! Dr. Mac should just be honest and tell people that vitrolysis does not work for everybody.

I know Dr. Mac meant well, but I specifically asked him if it was possible for my vision to get worse with his laser floater treatment. He assured me that it might not fix everything, but it certainly could not make anything worse. I spent a lot of money and had three laser treatments, each time my vision got worse until my vision was drastically obstructed and my life greatly impacted. I recently went to a new surgeon who did a vitrectomy for me and I am finally able to see again! It has been life changing. I had despaired that I would never see again. Dr. Mac should just be honest and tell people that vitrolysis does not always improve vision and can, in fact, make your vision much worse. I wish someone had told me.

Understanding making you feel comfortable and relaxed during examines. I have never liked the eye examines which means putting drops or anything near my eyes. I was terrified of having the pressure taken in my eyes, but he was completely understanding and very patient with me. Telling me what he was doing and "talking me through it.

Couldn't ask for anything better

Very professional and courteous, however, sometimes I feel he rushes in and out. On to the next patient.
