List of Lake Norman Regional Medical Center's Reviews
Lake Norman ER provided me with Stellar care I had an excellent experience. As a PA for another hospital system I just wanted the closest ER for my time in need and LKN regional was wonderful. The nurses were definitely experienced 1 which was apparent quickly to me. They were kind and caring. The MD was quick kind and highly knowledgeable Triage was quick and proficient. These reviews are often very unfair ERs are just that ERs They aren’t there to sort out every possible thing that can be wrong with someone… follow up with a family doctor. ERs are there to make sure you don’t die to relieve you of your emergent crisis. If people leave still in pain I guarantee you these providers did their best within their own realm of medical guidelines. I would not hesitate to go straight there again.
I’m so angry and I can’t even do anything about it because I know the health system is broken and the individuals at the ER who were involved are overworked. But Lake Norman Regional was straight up NEGLECTFUL today. Neglectful and dismissive. After discharging my wife who is you guessed it HOME and STILL in mind numbing pain the PA had the nerve to say “she’s got nothing wrong she’ll feel like a whole new person tomorrow.” I’m furious. If you have the option do not come here.
I have called and left several messages to receive my lab results and cannot get a return call. How do I go about getting my medical records since no one will tell me over the phone?
Currently sitting here writhing in pain in the ED. First off they did not put an allergy bravely on me. Second I had to plead for pain medication that works as I have Pyelonephritis an obnoxious tolerance for pain meds which Doc was told. The doctor also barked at me saying “do you want it or not?” when askingtrying to explain the med situation. I understand things get busy but I’ve been waiting for either pain medication or a heat pack for three hours now with a very painful infection. No one has come back for vitals since far earlier in the afternoon. The doctor shut my tv off put my bed down to feel my stomach and left me lying flat told him that hurts the worse left the tv off and did not hand me my call bell upon leaving. CT nurse was very nice though. Last upon coming into my room it was clear it was unkept blood on the floor trash pieces everywhere. It’s a shame. Thank you to our healthcare heroes but please take the time to consider this? Pts do not deserve your lack of effort rudeness and obvious bad day thrown at them when they too are down and sick.
Very deceptive medical center. They hire nurses with online degrees to take care of preemies those that require the most care while also lying about having direct physician supervision. They will lie and tell patients that hiring an online nurse instead of a real physician will save you money BUT the reality is they will charge you the same as if you saw a real doctor while they pocket the difference saving them money not you while providing subpar care…. In fact they will transfer all complex care which would save them money and cost you more money. If you decide to utilize this medical center make sure to be vigilant about who’s providing your care. Get a lawyer if they try to deceive you into thinking you’re seeing a board certified physician. Trust me they don’t care about patient safety. It won’t be saving you any money You’ll be paying the same amount for subpar care. Seek a lawyer and don’t be afraid to sue if you feel that your child’s care has been compromise by this medical center’s decision to cut cost
This was my first visit to this hospital. I can’t say enough of how wonder the ER staff and The 2nd floor nursing staff is. I have been in some hospitals over my time and this was by far the best experience I had. The ER staff and Dr were awesome and attentive. I was admitted and taken to floor 2 room 219 my night nurse Belinda was so amazing and the CNA Angela were right there to help me settle in and took their time answering questions. I was very nervous for the procedure I needed and they were very patient with me. I hope I never have to be In the hospital again. But if I do I would go back the lake norman regional in a heartbeat.
How can a hospital claim to have a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with no physician neonatologist? They have fired their neonatologists and have only nurse practitioners covering all newborns.
Their billing representatives are absolutely horrible and completely unknowledgeable of their own job. I have reached out to their 844 number numerous times leaving numerous voicemails. My insurance company has also tried to call numerous times. I have had both a customer service representative from Lake Norman on the phone with my insurance company for a three way call which was dated May 4th 2021. The representative from Lake Norman assured both my insurance and I that they had it resubmitted not to mention they had my first name as my last. It is now June 8th 2021 and I am still getting letters from Lake Norman Regional Medical Center harassing me about a bill that was “assured” it was taken care of. I had to call numerous times this past week to get it resolved yet again and the representative from Lake Norman said my insurance company never got back to them from May 4th. Yet when I call my insurance company they said they still never received the bill. Moving forward my insurance company tries to call them everyday and no answer because “call volumes are too high” or when you leave a voicemail they never return it. I am extremely unhappy with the customer service of this hospital I have never once dealt with the unprofessionalism from another medical center. I can assure you I travel many times throughout the year and with my heart condition I visit MANY out of state hospitals.. I have NEVER dealt with this before and it’s extremely aggravating. I’d advise building a better team and better system.
I want to Thank the Doctor Nurse n CNA n Therapy care 3 months was a long time n didnt think he would make it was told if taken off life support he would die but thanks to the great doctors nurses he now has been moved to rehab center. John one of the CNA was great. Had only 3 people that we had issues with in 3 months always a bad apple or 2 in every bunch but over all we loved every one n will miss you. Thanks for all you did we will always be grateful
We have always received excellent care at LKN Regional but dealing with the billing department is a nightmare.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
