List of Carolinas Healthcare System Blue Ridge's Reviews
My husband contracted COVID in July 2021 and ended up in ICU and subsequently on the ventilator five days later. I cannot say enough nice things about the dedication of the nurses and doctors our family had contact with and for the excellent care he received. Even though he died I found some comfort in knowing that everything was done for him that could be done.
My poor husband sit in the emergency room for 4 hrs or more and couldn’t hold his his head up. There were terrible Never again The room was nasty
If you currently work here seriously get out while you can. There are tons of other medical practices with better pay benefits and career opportunities. So many shady business practices happening here at the moment. Doctors telling patient they need medical procedures that are absolutely not necessary. The employees here are great. It is the higher ups and their decisions that have made this place tank so much. Their handling of the Atrium partnership was so unprofessional. Their employees will pay the cost of those handlings. UNC Healthcare should run
A vast majority of their employees are paid less than a Walmart cashier. That’s the quality of care you will receive here.
Took my husband to the ER because he’s been violently throwing for over 48 hours he had to wait and hour and still was never seen and they had told someone else it’d be a few hour due to waiting on a covid test. My husband is severely dehydrated. Thanks for nothing
They changed visiting hours to end at 6PM and just didn’t bother to put that on their website. Drove all that way for no reason. Not sure how people who work until 5 are supposed to see their relatives.
The ER is awful. Waited in the ER with my 78 year old mother for over 5 hours who had pneumonia and sepsis she could barely walk or sit up.... only 68 other people waiting. You could drive from Morganton to Charlotte be seen by a Doctor of much better quality and drive back to Morganton in less time.
ER waiting room full of people that had been there for over 6 hours while the er exam rooms were full of people waiting to be transferred upstairs. Open another floor of the hospital half the place is sitting empty. I was sent to the ER by my primary care with a concussion and suspected bleed. My doctor had called and let them know I was being sent over and needed a scan of my head. didnt want me to wait for days to get it done. After 4 hours included 1 hr in the exam room I never saw a doctor or nurse other than the original triage nurse when I first arrived. I walked out.
when you take a disabled person who has fallen and hurt his back to the emergency room for help and they let him sit there for 5 hours in a chair that was made for a doctors office not for somewhere you may be at for hours on end is ridiculous i asked for a pillow so he could at least have something to put between the chair and his back i was told they dont have many its a hospital for heavens sake took me 2 hours to get one for him he never did get to see a doctor we had to leave because he just couldnt sit in that chair anymore i do understand emergancy situations but to treat someone disabled and in pain this way is cruel the bad thing is there were several other people there that had to go somewhere else to because they couldnt get help
My wife and I had our first child delivered at this hospital and we can’t say enough great things about the family center. Everyone from the doctors to the ladies bringing room service were fantastic. We felt very well taken care of and informed. We had a great experience. Thank you so much.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
