Trust me. I am in my 50s and he deserves 1 star. My mom and I are both looking for another primary care doctor. Any doctor that chooses to mess with medication outside of his specialty after telling you you can’t get care in the area for that specialty is not a good doctor. He’s risking my livelihood.

I don't write many reviews but Ive been telling my wife about him and she said he's got a one star rating. Hard to believe!!! I've been to see DR Stutesman for a few years now. He's the best primary care DR I've ever had and I'm in my 50s. He's nowledgeable, respectful and I see him every visit (instead of a substitute PA). He's patient and engaged too. By the way, his staff is fantastic too. If you're one of his patients, please also review him. He deserves a great rating!

I have to say this Dr. Has treated my grandma for a long time now, she has dementia. At first he prescribed her a couple medications, when they didn't work he stood by and did nothing. He let a woman near her 90's only getting worse. Go untreated and to get worse. To the point we had to call 911 when she was found on the floor with no clothes. I physically held her whole body weight up until the ambulance got here. They hospital is now keeping her and try to find a home for where a REAL doctor can give her medication that will help and offer up more advice than I don't know what i else to tell you. If you have and elderly parent with dementia or alzheimers do not seek help from this doctor. He will only hender the process.

This my first visit. The medical assistant was very professional and kind. However, the dr, that is a different story. He was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I do not recommend.

I am upset about how my wife was treated by Dr. Stutesman I would not recommend anybody going to see him and I hope I will get the chance to meet him in person one day

Dr. Stutesman has been my physician for 33 years. He excels in all areas of his practice, is great in assessment, diagnosis and treatment. He is conservative with his treatment and will not refer you to a specialist for maladies he can treat but will not hesitate to refer you for treatment he knows you need. He is also a great listener.

Dr Stutesman treated an elderly family member and provided little to guidance in regard to pain control. Was not approachable and left family members trying to advocate for this patient in the dark. It is a shame when healthcare professionals, lack both care and the professionalism. Would advise you to look elsewhere - it is worth a drive to Hickory or Lenoir to find a doctor you can trust.
