Physical Therapy is the Best!!!! Adam White is an expert! He has taught me and worked with me to understand the correct exercises for various injuries over the years.
The receptionists I encountered during my appointment were extremely rude and unprofessional. They displayed a lack of courtesy and respect, which left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. Never coming here again.
Easy to get to from Durham. Takes 10 minutes from my job. Parking is free. Lab on site. Seldom crowded.
The facility is the worst. The only reason I’m there because my primary moved into the facility . I had a life and death emergency urgency a request was sent to my doctor at 9:30 am. The people I talked to showed no compassion about the request and it was close to 4pm before I found out my doctor, whom according to the staff was the only one that could place the order I needed, left at 12 noon that day. And even the last nurse I talked too decided to call my primary doctor on her day off that agreed to have an alternate physician place the order wouldn’t even ask them to fax the order because according to her they had ‘other patients’. I have known people to stop breathing in their sleep and when I mentioned this to Hannah she said ‘just go to the ER if that happens’! Unbelievable
Duke Hospital has saved the lives of both my mother and my child, and countless others I have known. The nurses are the heart of any hospital, and Duke has great ones, compassionate and committed. The doctors are some of the best in the world. Are you going to have perfect experiences anywhere all the time? No. But at Duke, the good has outweighed the bad at least 95% of the time in my nearly 6 decades in Durham. That's an A in my book. I've read many of the other reviews. Most of the negatives are over one instance and ring of mere pettiness, rashness, and a self-centered viewpoint. Everyone needs to learn to take a step back and look at an issue from every perspective, and be honest with oneself about your own roll in the issue, before jumping in with all the negatives.
Dr. Song is seriously the best. She truly listens and advocates for womens health. If you want a doctor that will take the time to hear you, she’s the one! I’m super grateful for her care.
This new facility opened April 2021. It offers primary care in several specialized areas as well as general practice. See my photos for a list of offices and search Duke Arrington for more individualized information. P.S. The limited number of reviews to date (1.15.22) allows the one poor review of 9 months ago to unfairly skew the results. Let's assume the reviewer was justified in the complaints. The Center was newly opened and did serve him. It has been a dreadful 2 years for everyone, especially our healthcare workers. These workers were opening a new facility. I thank them all for being there when I needed them.
Dr. John C Barr from Neurosurgery refused to see me after I drove 90 miles to see him. I was stopped on my way to his office due to an amber alert in the county, police had a check point. I was his last patient of the day and he refused to wait 10 minutes for me to arrive. His staff proceeded to tell me they found something “pertinent” in my MRI, yet his nurse or any of his staff refused to speak with me. I am a disabled veteran and have seen over 50 doctors in the past 5 years. He is by far the most unprofessional “medical professional,” I have ever encountered. He has ZERO compassion. A doctor that is there for his high paying profession, not the well being of his patients. He may be a good surgeon but he lacks basic human decency and ethical skill. I would highly consider seeing another physician if you do not want to be treated like a number.
I can truly understand why this organization has such a low review rating. What kind of compassionate and caring healthcare system literally sends a patient to collections for a measly 35$ without first making contact to even state there is an outstanding bill in need of payment? I not only find this appalling and completely inappropriate, but this is an unacceptable dent on my well-deserved credit rating. There are other health systems out there, my future healthcare needs will be given elsewhere, not duke!
All of my care team from nurses to specialist during my spleenectomy, paracentesis, and TIPS procedure were amazing. The liver team saved my life. If it weren't for them and my hematologist, I wouldn't be here today. God put me right were I needed to be.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
