Thomas Green's Online Review Report Card

Absolutely the worst practitioner. Not open the any type of interventional or holistic medicine . I feel he looks down his nose at me. Been seeing him 3 years now. Today was my last visit. The old medical interventionist are out dated. He is one of them. .

Dr. Green is a man who first listens to what you have to say. That is very rare today. Then, the Doctor steps in. He really cares about his patients. His nurse, Sandy is a rare gem. She is his right hand. Together, they make an awesome team.I would recommend Dr. Green and Currituck Family Medicine to my family and friends.

WORST self absorbed Doctor I have ever come across. Glad I found out after just one appointment! Don’t waste your time. He needs to retire!!

I have never left a review for a Doctor and we see a lot with my daughter having been born with chronic health conditions and moving a lot with the military. I usually just let it go if we come across a bad one. But Dr Green is the WORST dr I have ever come across. I read the bad reviews before my appointment and should’ve canceled. If this review will make someone rethink seeing him, leaving this review will be worth it! I was born with several issues that he knew nothing about. I have been on medication in which past doctors felt were very much needed, so much so that I had to take them through my pregnancy last year. (Very small dose of anxiety med and heart medication) He tried telling me they don’t work for my disorder and I’m just “filling a hole.” Along with statements only made by an older arrogant doctor. After talking down to me, he got up and walked out. On his way out he said, “I don’t think I’m a good fit for you.” I was in utter shock and embarrassed. Then he had the audacity to tell the front girls, “no charge for today.” Please…especially if you are given Dr Green as your pcm through Tricare, run! I’m going to do everything to try to get them off their list of pcms.

Mr. Green was a follow-up doctor to my previous primary care physician who had left the practice. Initially he seemed concerned about my care and seemed personable, always allowing sufficient time to cover all the bases. However, during my last visit he was brusque to the point of being rude, complained constantly about the current state of the insurance industry, indicated that 97% of this work did not even involve medicine, and seemed to be unaware of my course of treatment or changes we had made to it. I was not able to find out what follow-up tests were required or when and how I was to schedule that testing. It was a most unsatisfactory experience.

Not good, no physical contact, just talk, changed my prescription from 2 a day to 1 a day without telling me

During my first couple of visits with Mr. Green he seemed personable and provided adequate time to cover all of the bases. However, during my last visit he was brusque to the point of being rude, gave inaccurate information about the tests my insurance would cover, and begin lamenting the current state of insurance in our country. He did not even comment upon changes I had made to my medications following an earlier recommendation. He failed to provide any information about how to take the tests he did recommend and I waited for a call from the provider that never came. I found his attitude and manner to be very poor when compared to the service I received from my previous doctor at this practice.

I have seen Mr. Green several times as he was my follow on doctor for another who had left the practice. At first he seemed concerned and personable, providing adequate time to cover all the bases. However, during my last visit he was brusque to the point of being rude, was constant complaining about the state of the insurance industry and that it consumed most of his time, and even indicated that 97% of his work had nothing to do with medicine. He was complaining about how insurance no longer covered many tests, and seemed to say that my testing was out of date because of it. He did not pay attention to changes we had made in my medical regime. It was an odd and wasted encounter.

Mr. Green is the second worst medical practitioner I have encountered. He is a martinet, seems to believe that he has the only say in the health care of his patients, and is less dependable than a dishonest news reporter. He spends time with patients complaining about the health care system instead of concentrating of finding ways to accomplish the "helping" goals of a physician. In his current practice, he is far worse than the doctors who came before him.

My last appointment with Mr. Green was a disaster.  He was off on tangents about how medical insurance companies were only in it for the money, how they wouldn't pay for tests he needed to have performed, about how he spent 97% of his time on activities that were not medical in nature, and was not listening to me.  He was brusque to the point of being rude and not at all like the doctor I had experienced during our previous appointments.  I never got the tests I required because he didn't discuss the current testing protocols.
