When here for a injury to my leg and I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Jenkins and his nurse Mindy, Dr. Jenkins is a great guy and outstanding doctor and Mindy who was friendly, caring and really nice.

Outer Banks General Surgery is a great place! Every single staff member I met has been incredibly welcoming and attentive. I'm a very anxious person, which tends to annoy doctors and also make going to the doctor an unpleasant experience. I walked inside, dreading what I thought would inevitably be a dismissive and condescending doctor. However, my expectations could not have been more unfounded. Dr. Haigh was respectful, patient, and very kind; he said he transferred here to have more patient interaction and it shows. I had a small surgery done and I was completely terrified, but he and the sweetest lady (I can't remember what her position was, don't want to get it wrong) put me completely at ease and I couldn't believe how positive of an experience surgery was when I left! The woman he works with is the absolute sweetest, as well - she had a smile and nice word for everyone. I was happy to see her each time I went in. The office and rooms were clean and wait time was very minimal. I was initially hesitant about going to a local practice, but I definitely do not regret it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing a surgery.

Dr Van Martin and Dr Aaron Haigh provide a level of excellence rarely seen in healthcare today. Their patients consistently report that not only are their needs met with clinical expertise, but they are also provided with a great deal of personal attention and care. This individualized care makes all the difference in an era of faceless healthcare. As a healthcare professional, I have had the opportunity to interact with these physicians and observe their personal commitment to their patients, and as a patient I have been impressed by the the level of investment in my health. For a physician on whom you can rely to go the extra mile, you could not do better than Drs Martin and Haigh.
