This is a wonderful new facility. They get us in and out quickly on every visit.

The lady at the front desk was very rude and didn’t understand what was going on. She would not let me see my father in the room and made me wait outside during hurricane Ian. I couldn’t even wait in the WAITING room even though no one was there.

I went to Urgent Care this morning with a very concerning issue. I was fortunate to have a PA named Carrie take care of me. She was fantastic, relieving my fear and taking all the time I needed to talk about the situation. Thank You Carrie. You made a big difference in my day!

Not the worst standards of care experience, but far from ideal. I know it’s Dare County. I know it’s the back end of the tourist season. I know it’s a global pandemic Thank you for offering the option to wait in my own vehicle. I very much appreciated that. The check in-check out lady was lovely-kind, efficient, and informative in the face of high operational tempo. While I understand the big notice, written in sharpie about not being able to offer wait time estimates due to triage protocols, someone DOES need to answer the telephone when patients re waiting over two and a half hours in the parking lot. FYI-many hospitals in high population urban areas, that are facing the SAME staffing issues, bigger volume, and greater risks actually have digital billboards that display ER wait times. So, it IS possible to offer some sort of time estimate, with caveats, of course. Maybe you look at this as an area where improvement is possible, The NP that huffed in to see me after spending almost three hours in the parking lot, acting al kinds of exasperated, didn’t inspire much confidence with his “I’m not convinced, but here’s some antibiotics anyway” pronouncement. what prison did you work at before you moved to the OBX? Or maybe you’re a veteran of military medicine? - “here’s some Motrin, come back if it gets worse”. Cheers to hoping it gets better, instead. For all of us. Update 21 SEPT 2022 08:21 Unreal. They’ve moved to a new building in the Obx mall parking lot. Still haven’t updated that in maps, so enjoy the run around. Check in is absurdly stupid. Two morons in scrubs, shouting your personal info from behind their plexiglass sneeze shield. They can’t hear you, so forget about any discretion. To add to the ridiculously poorly run facility, there’s a chick sitting in the waiting area picking something out of her hair ( wont let me attach video) and flicking whatever it is onto the floor. It’s like going to the doctor in some third world backwater. Just left, utterly disgusted, and went to ER NEVER AGAIN with this ridiculous facility.

I had to take my husband here while on vacation because he had developed a nasty cough. Front staff was friendly and we filled out forms and then instructed to wait outside. We sat in chairs out front for about 45 mins, but was ok, nice ocean breeze. Nurse called husband and asked questions over the phone. We were then instructed to come in. Nurse was very friendly. We waited no longer than 7-8 min before NP came in. She was very knowledgeable and very personable. Due to my husband's underlying lung condition, she took his cough seriously, gave him a breathing treatment and a steroid shot and put him on antibiotics and he felt better upon leaving. A good experience.

Possibly the worst urgent care I've experienced. We left before being helped after 2 hours of waiting. They should possibly rebrand as a non-urgent office. After an hour in the lobby and after making it to the exam room there was no sign of an intake person, nurse, PA or doctor for another hour so we left.

Misdiagnosed our sons knee infection. The next day, we went to another Clinic and they diagnosed it correctly. The second Clinic was shocked by the original diagnosis.

Tge doctor I talk to was so nice he really helped me. Tge nurse was kinda rude unfortunately. Definitely not the worse.

The women at the front desk were pretty nice and overall informative of what I should do at the beginning. Waited in my car for about an hour and a half. I had been feeling sick for two weeks and came with all of my symptoms but the doctor was unsure of what to do and didn’t seem like he wanted to be there. He took a guess and said sinus infection. I got antibiotics but evidently didn’t need them because I ended up going to another facility which performed actual tests and figured out I have mononucleosis. I also have a hard time swallowing pills and requested liquid version of my medicine, which I was told would be fine; they did not write that prescription and ended up giving me horse pills that I struggled to take with my sore throat. Wouldn’t recommend.

If I could rate this zero stars I would. Zero primary care providers available. The staff who answered the phone is rude. Do not waste your time here.
