Scheduled months in advance. They called 30 minutes before my arrival time to cancel due to the doctor going into emergency surgery. There is no contingency plan for the patients canceled when the doctor is on call at the hospital. The earliest available appointment for reschedule was 2 months out. Unfortunately, I cannot wait that long. The person who called was a bit rude "I'm sorry but emergencies happen." Absolutely, they do. But double booking a doctor's time is disrespectful to the patients. You waisted an entire day of leave. And there should be a plan to fit patients in, in a more timely manner when you cancel on them. Also, there was no gaurantee that they won't cancel for the same reason if I wait another 2 months and take another day of leave.
