We all must be very careful as to when we need emergency medical care. So please plan accidents and medical crises very wisely. For example several months ago on a Sunday morning getting bit by a dog worked well for my Emergency Department visit. I was in and out quickly and the staff was great. However last night was totally different. My 80 something year old neighbor planned it very poorly to have her blood pressure raise by 50 points above her normal have a bad headache and stomach issues just before 9 pm.I rushed her to the emergency department and soon realized that only she and I thought it was an emergency. Silly us so what if she was having a stroke? Her blood pressure had gone up another 20 points by the time we got there just after 9. No one checked her blood pressure again until 11 hours later. YES 11 hours plus in an emergency department which BTW was very cold not just temperature wise is a horrible experience. She was only on a comfortable bed the last 90 minutes. Did I mention she is over 80 and it is nighttime and she is sick…and again very cold?Of course we were not alone. There were others suffering the long uncomfortable waits.Yes. She slowly got the tests she needed. Some staff were more cordial and friendlier than others one even freely distributed warmed blankets to patients. A couple of staff members barely tolerated us. And we are nice people I am guessing that they are suffering from the whole pandemic strain. We finally left just before 830 am.I am planning my next emergency for a Sunday morning. I am advising my neighbor to do the same. And I strongly recommend the same to anyone reading this.
I attended this ER last night and truthfully the staff was amazing. Knowledgeable kind caring understanding highly ethical. I appreciate your prompt attention and honest care. Thank you
Dont go here. Go to Greenville.
I always have used this Hospital for my husband until now I was ok. This whole experience has been a nightmare. From ER triage to care on floor. I have heard its because of Covid its because we are short staffed we are stretched beyond comprehension. We know our diagnosis but no results of said treatments lab results CT And multiple xrays. Uas now day 6 running a fever. Wait for Dr. To make rounds spent 5 minutes in room and left. No time for questions.
Worst hospital ever
A little over a month ago my mom took her partner to Carolina East ER. The initial complaint was for pain due to chemotherapy and her mouth had blistered up. She was clearly in pain and crying. The nursing staff ignored her and were on their phones laughing and giggling. There were only two patients in the waiting room. She was jaundiced crying and unable to even swallow. My mother asked the hospital staff multiple times where is the urgency to help and they all had an attitude. She could not even walk and the staff would not even assist to help her with a wheelchair. I had so much faith in Carolina East and they failed. If they had not failed that day she may still be with us. If you are burned out move on. There are lives at stake.
This er at this hospital is terrible. my brother in law has been waiting since 12 or 1pm and just had a CT scan at 10pm tonight my husband is with his brother there at this time still dont know results. The er is in need of looking into for the taxpayers that keeps the hospital running. Shaneon who runs this hospital the medical care is hirr7. So disappointing.
Worst experience ever with a hospital My daughter had seizure was given cpr taken to hospital in ambulance when she arrived they put her in a wheelchair then rolled her into the waiting area. The nurse did not understand why she was in the waiting area but nobody did anything for her. She was complaining of headache tongue was bleeding she was sitting in urine. Another nurse told me she was going to see why she was put there but she never came back. After over an hour I wheeled her out the lady sitting behind the glass could not have been any ruder I took her to another hospital where they got her right back and starting caring for her
They do not care at all there and are very very rude and never know how to put a IV in I have been there 20+ times for seizures and injuries and latest was for Covid and they stuck me 6 times till they got a “good” one and then when they took it out blood was pouring everywhere and didn’t stop for 10 minutes.
UPDATE Sept 4 2021 The wait is 712 hours long if not more however as frustrating as it is the er staff continues to try to be kind despite the environment. Coming today the only bad experience was the wait but fortunately once I got called back it only took maybe 30 minutes altogether vs waiting another 30 mins to an hour to see the physician. Some of the nurses do act frustrated when you speak with them but I suppose it’s not personal…maybe so. I know sick people just want to feel better and negativity does not help at all. Star rating went up by twoUPDATE April 2021 “If you get a COVID test know that just because you test negative doesn’t mean you’re negative and you can also catch COVID while in the ER. I mean people in Walmart are positive.” This is all the triage nurse voluntarily felt the need to tell me with her “nastynice” attitude. The supervisor decided to let me know of my ER charges without me speaking on it although my insurance fully covers me and my children’s medical charges should I choose to be seen. I was very discouraged from being seen. This can’t be real. What’s the point in taking the test if a negative can still mean positive or a positive can mean negative? There has been many false positives. I don’t trust this place. They admit their tests can be inaccurate. Also there are people I know who have caught COVID via this hospital and died. Sanitary and social distancing issue much?PAST REVIEW Never had a good experience here. Even now I went deaf in my left ear followed by excruciating pain. Its been an hour and no one bothered to even look in my ear. Also we were in an intake room and after about an hour I went to explain the severity of the pain. 5 mins later I was put out the room and back in a waiting area. Oh and my kids14 yo and 9 months are with me to be seen too and they werent. Im ready to go to the news and newspaper about them. I cant take it anymore.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
