List of Caroline A. Paul's Reviews
Upon seeing Dr. Paul today I can highly recommend her to everyone. She was very friendly very compassionate and very informative. She made me feel relaxed welcomed and comfortable. Giving her a 5star rating
Came in did one test where pain is and said its in my head. No further exam nothing. No empathy towards patients WORSE doctor Ive ever seen or experienced AND I work in the medical field and have seen my fair share of doctors from ALL walks of life. She needs to retire resign and not be in this field.
In the last four years Ive been having pain in one area Ive had CT scans ultrasounds sonograms xrays done to show nothing I go to her after being referred by my PCP she comes in tells me shes looked at all my test and results doesnt see anything Im one of those unusal cases and that its all in my head. To think back four years whats caused me stress. Im baffled out right upset by this. Wasted $80 co pay for her to tell me its in my head. Asked a ton of questions and her answer I dont know Youre a special case ummm excuse me then whats wrong with me?? Didnt do any other kind of examination other than put one fingertip where I hurt and said there was nothing there. Worse beside manner. Also heard her before she came into a room tell a coworker speak poorly about a patient as she was coming out another room very distasteful

Dr. Paul did my gallbladder surgery on Sept 3 2020 that my primary care doctor wanted her opinion on whether to surgically remove or not due to sludge. With the many years of cramping and pain I had experienced without a cause or a solution it was music to my ears when Dr. Paul wasted no time in telling me it needed to come out. After surgery Dr. Paul said my gallbladder was full of gall stones too. No wonder I had been suffering with stomach pain for years. I had sand and stones Even with my incisions healing up I already feel better and I can eat food again. Thank you Dr. Paul for your genuine concern for me. By the time I got to surgery I was only eating fruit due to the severe pain I was having if I ate anything at all and because of the COVID test I had to wait for my surgery but it all worked out so that I can now heal and feel better than I have in a long time. Thank you Dr. Paul
Dear Dr Paul Thank you for the excellent surgery that I received on February 28th of this year. I am recovering very well since I figured out I have to change my diet.definitely healthier No more nerve pain. I am looking forward in not only continuing a healthy diet but a better form of exercise. Thank you definitely stay safe during this virus as we definitely need excellent medical here in New Bern.
As others have stated she really lacks bedside manner and has no compassion or sympathy whatsoever. I had surgery and was worried about the results and in pain. She basically told me to suck it up and that people would think Im a wimp for being in pain after a simple surgery. She offered no explanations or anything worthwhile definitely nothing comforting which is what ALL postsurgery patients need to hear and wasted my time and money. I would not recommend her unless its for a patient who doesnt care about being treated with kindness and respect.
So after prepping myself for a week and not able to take my medications and not eating for a day prior plus cleansing my body wich was not a fun experience. I get a phone call an hour before my scheduled surgery asking me if I could come in an hour early. I said yes Ill be right there. Getting ready I get another phone call saying Im sorry we need to reschedule you because Dr Paul has got to leave. Thats some unprofessional crock to me. You obviously dont think about the person. No stars
I waited over a week to go back to her regarding a CT scan. Rather than just calling me to say she did not see anything she had me come in to the office resulting in another wasted appointment and another copay. She was literally inout of the room in less than 5 minutes. She didnt even offer an explination of what could be causing the symptoms. This is not the first time shes done this. I will never return to her and would highly recommend people look elsewhere.
Ive seen many doctors over the years and she is the only one who I have ever felt like it was a waste of time on more than one occasion. Naturally having test results not showing anything of concern is always great. However when she still forces you to come into the office pay your copay to then be inout of your room in 5 minutes without bothering to offer reasons for your symptoms it tends to really make you angry. She did all of these tests because she stated my symptoms were not normal yet when the testing showed nothing she didnt bother to offer a possible explanation. Her bedside manner is horrible has no compassion and I always feel like she is blowing me off every time I see her with the way she rushes in and barely takes the time to talk or examine me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
