Thomas S. Skelton's Online Review Report Card

I would recommend Dr Thomas Skelton to anyone. He was knowledgeable experienced with the procedure I had done. He took his time and and answered ALL my questions putting my mind at ease. I wish I had found him sooner. It was quick recovery time. This procedure made a serious improvement in my life. I wish all doctors treated their patients with the expertise and respect that he and his assistantnurse showed me. We are very blessed to have him in this area.

Dr Skeleton is Awesome I was recently diagnosed with Colon cancer. Within a week of seeing Dr Skeleton he had me scheduled for surgery performed a resection of my large Colon the very next week. He was very professional always answered all my questions. I am great full to have had him for my Dr. I would highly recommend Dr Skeleton to everyone.

Stay away from this office if you are a Veteran. Their front desk Office manager Norma has no clue how Triwest works. She also refused to listen to my advice on how to rectify the issue. She did not know that Dr. Skeleton doesnt treat patients that have hernias. Because of her error it delayed my care requiring me to go back to Triwest to find another provider. Dr. Skeleton ordered a procedure for me that was covered with my original authorization from Triwest. Norma refused to believe that the procedure was covered. I contacted Triwest to confirm that the procedure was indeed covered. Triwests supervisor Mr. OV called and left a message with Dr. Skeletons answering machine confirming the procedure was covered. I made the appt to be called the day before from Adrianna saying my appt needed to be rescheduled. I called Triwest and ask that they call the office to confirm the procedure. I was able to keep my appt. I explained my concerns to Dr. Winston and I got no where. Stay away from this office if you are a Veteran. Because of the pandemic things were placed on hold for several months. I called the office several times to see if Norma had solved the issue but was told she would contact Triwest and she never did. I finally was able to make an appt only to be called the day before by Adrianna saying my appt needed to be rescheduled. I emphatically told her that wasnt going to happen. After being on hold for 35 minutes Adrianna told me that Triwest kept hanging up on her. I found that to be interesting because it has never happened to me. Norma came on the phone trying to intimidate me saying very nastly that she would call me back. I told her I would call Triwest to solve the issue. Triwest again confirmed that the procedure was covered and they also called Dr. Skeletons office and again confirmed the appt was covered. Norma called me back to tell me the appt was still on. She never offered an apology for all of the running around that she put me through. I explained my concerns to Dr. WinstonChief Medical Officer and I got no where. His response to me was it seems like you want to go somewhere else. I informed that I was most definitely not returning here if I needed surgery. He then asked what did I suggest that he do. My response was to educate your staff on how Triwest works or dont accept it as an insurance carrier in your office. I reviewed the clinic note from Dr. Winston. There are many erroneous things added in the note that I never said to him. Again stay away

Beyond his considerable surgical skill what I also appreciate about Dr. Skelton is his ability to think beyond normal procedure thus making each patients issues more of a personal challenge to resolve. I was doing well after a surgical procedure but then developed an issue not involved with the surgery but closeby. He said lets try this medication. But when that didnt work prescribed an entirely different approach that did not involve drugs but did solve the problem.

This Dr is a rock star He gets down to business n gets out Awesome ????

Horrible Do not trust your loved one’s to this doctor My father had surgery in 2016 with Dr Skelton then again in July of this year. He said it would be a simple procedure and he would be out in about 10 days well he never got out he suffered for almost 6 months being moved from facility to facility and when I called Dr Skelton’s office he had no idea my dad was still hospitalized So you just do surgery and then wash your hands?? My dad suffered for 6 months and died and this doctor never even checked on him I called to see if he could come see him and nothing My dad would still be here if he didn’t have that surgery and if he wasn’t strong enough to tolerate it then Dr Skelton should have said so. I don’t know how he sleeps at night.

Recently had colon resection surgery performed by Dr Skelton. He is a no nonsense very focused surgeon. I would highly recommend Dr. Skelton. He made me aware of everything he was going to do or did and took time for questionsconcerns.

Fabulous physician. Dr. Skelton made us comfortable about discussing a treatment plan for a delicate situation. He suggested the most conservative procedures first and provided it with great proficiency beginning that first day in his officeand it worked. Feeling relieved and would highly recommend him to everyone. Kind knowledgeable can do attitude plus a great sense of humorcan’t beat that combination in a physician Thanks Doc Dedra Scow

I would recommend Dr Skelton. He is personable caring and attentive.

Cannot say enough about this MD...professional personable takes his time and actually listens to what the patient is saying. Dr. Skelton did a colon resection and a port implant both times was impressed by the high quality of his work. Most of all to me at least is that he gives you straight answers....I value the truth and knowing all the option and you just dont get that kind of honesty from many MDs...Highest recommendation Chris Siegle
