List of Carl W. Berk's Reviews
I agree with the other posts mentioning how rushed he is. The appointment was useless as he was snarky, condescending and makes you feel like he can’t wait to get you out of the office and get the next patient in. Worst experience I have had with a doctor and how he treats you.
Berk left a very detailed paragraph about me in my records yet I've never, talked to, met with or stepped foot in his office. Based on the reviews I've read, I wouldn't trust him with my ear, nose, throat or any other body part.
Very good. His ability appears to be unquestioned, and I am delighted with the results. Far better than friends had led me to believe. Bedside manner needs some work, and a touch of humor wouldn't hurt
Dr Berk dx my boyfriend with cancer by taking the out time. Running test and making sure he got the care he needed. Now my boyfriend went from stage 3 cancer to cancer free. I would recommend Dr. Berk. Spending time is value to a person care. It's important to run test and give a prognosis and that is what Dr. Berk is there for. When a doctor is knows his job it's not always the time you need. I look for the expedite and the correct answers and what step did he follow to get to that point, making sure he a good listener and act on my accord. T Henderson Marine VA
Totally unimpressed with level of patient care and lack of engagement. No idea why patient was there despite referral from family physician. Failed to request patient history, did absolutely no preparation for appointment prior to and it was obvious. Didn’t review ultrasound or other information etc. provided paper history in lobby but no way to Complete it. Didn’t listen to patient, asked about history/ testing inappropriate for patient age, gave some antibiotics, dismissed prior testing as unnecessary but indicated wants to order more expensive testing. In and out in 15 mins and billed $300 + . Disgusted by lack of professionalism and level of patient care
Dr was short answering questions and was rushing the entire time. ER recommended him to me for a ear infection. I will be getting a second opinion. This visit was the worst and I did not get the help that I needed today I been in pain for a while.
Er recommended him to me. This Dr was short and barley answered questions. He was rushing the entire time. I will never recommend him. I will get me a second opinion. I felt my visit with him today 1/6/2021was a waste of time.
Rushes through surgery for golf tee times. Absolutely wouldn’t recommend to anyone, he rushed my surgery and made my nose worst and his colleague that fixed my nose made jokes about this Dr rushing through surgery for golf...
No numbing for my procedure after the nurse had told me I would get a “numbing” spray. Went straight to my painful, problematic, swollen site with full force of sharp instruments. Used a suction on top of things and was so forceful I was crying and leaving nail marks on the exam chair from the terrible pain. Awful experience!
I just called his office for an acute sinus infection that presents as a tooth ache. My dentist wants me to see an ENT. They can’t get me in until June 20th. Don’t think this can wait but Thanks Dr Berk’s Office could have referred me to another ENT at Pinehurst Surgical Clinic but didn’t

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
