Horrible bed side manner. She did not even try to understand where I was coming from when it came to the method of pain management I wanted for the delivery of my third child. My first delivery happened so quickly that there was no time for an epidural. Because of my scoliosis, the epidural with my second child was unsuccessful. Dr. Castano was my gynecologist in NY. I would prefer to move to NC than find another doctor in NY. I started seeing her in my 20’s and until she moved to NC, I'm 52. Dr. Castano was the most caring, compassionate and professional doctor I have ever been treated by. She sat by my side waiting to go in for a DNC for the the first of several miscarriages. My first fertility specialist couldn't be bother following up to check on me, but Dr Castano did call me. I had several significant issues I experienced over the course of being her patient. I wish she was still in NY and truthfully was saddened that she would no longer be my doctor. I hope her new life and practice in NC bring her professional satisfaction and personal happiness!

Thank you so much Dr Castano when I thought my life was over and I lost my baby she worked with me and two years later although it was a tough pregnancy all worth it. Now I need surgery and she left I’m so sad because Dr castano saved my mother life and mine. Thank you Dr Castano never change you are AMAZING AND MISSED IN SLEEPY HOLLOW! Love you thank you for giving me life god bless you and your family and they are very lucky to have you.

Dr. Castano is great very knowledgeable, kind, and sweet. She helped me with my son delivery, she really cares about her patients. I would highly recommend her, plus she also speaks Spanish!

Have been a patient of Dr. Castano for over 20 years. Always understand and provides great attention. Always responsive to questions and concerns. Great bedside manor. Has been three for my mother who she diagnosed and help her as she want cancer treatment as well an an aunt. Dr Castano is a great doctor and person.

I am extremely comfortable and have complete confidence in Dr. Lourdes Castano. She makes me feel very comfortable and at ease during the examination. I like the fact we talk a few minutes after it is over and go over my chart and visit together. She answers my questions and makes me feel very confident all is well.

Dr, Costano and her staff are wonderful. Like every other doctor the insurance companies make them see too many patients, so scheduling an appointment may be a few months out. That being said, once you get an appointment, the Dr. is extremely thorough and spends ample time with you.
