List of Hoke Hospital's Reviews
First time going here for extreme anxiety and panic attack I was having the doctor was extremely nice she even took time to sit down and talk with me a one on one for a bit. Not sure why this place has bad reviews. Nothing but good experience here.
The nurse so worked overnight short fat lady was rude. First time and last time here lobby and four people in it when I arrived so I said ok I won’t be here to long “ wrong” the nurse was asking me my presonal health record outloud while sitting behind the desk.and I said to her “ shouldn’t we be in a more private area? She said no . The worst experience ever
Yeah don't expect to be in an out. Currently stuck here since 930am check in for a UTI, an NO pain meds NO FLUIDS nothing but a urine sample in the 3 hours I have been here. Get it together people. 🙄 Not to mention 3 people who came in after me went in ahead of me, one lady had the same pain as me, just on her left side.
I’m honestly disappointed with them completely. I went to the emergency room for a car accident and they didn’t even give me an x-ray. Then they charged me over $400 and now a second bill for $125 just cause I went to them. Cape fear completely sucks and if I could I’d give them a lower rating.
Worst hospital in the county, go to First Health! I am a Soldier stationed here at Liberty and this is the treatment I got. Checked my pregnant wife in with a rude staff member. Then was told to wait outside when there are multiple families and couples. The guard said those were "exceptions" I asked for clarity how they can be in here but I can't sit with my pregnant wife who is having issues? He stated that it is policy, it made no sense. Left there and came to First Health where the staff was friendly and I could sit with my wife. I just don't understand how you treat peoplein need like this. I can't believe this is what I sacrifice my life to defend, horrible.
Horrible do extra for no reason especially with Covid and strep throat. Be careful not just that even if you have regular visit or need of emergency
i would recommend this place only because of some of the nurses … most of them were nice and actually helped a whole lot … on the other end the two male doctors were just rude (i understand they deal with alot everyday but if you cant have a smile on your face espically for your patients you dont need to be in that field of work) oh and also the lady at the front desk was rude for no reason … i walked in and my boyfriend did most of the talking because of how much pain i was in and obviously she knew that (but girl had an attitude over a signature) but thanks to the security guard for helping us out !!
Arrived at the hospital a little after 3 am. I have asthma, diabetes, COPD, high blood pressure. I was feeling sick, I typically get bronchitis my Mother was just in on the 13th. I checked in no waiting time vitals taking blood pressure up, no fever had taking Tylenol before leaving home I felt hot. I was places in a room, saw PA Young short man, no bedside manners, explained to him my health situation, that I had been in Hole many times before for the same lung issues. I told him the protocol t they usually follow. I did not want an xray as I have had many, and honestly do not want radiation. So I ask for a bag of fluids because I felt I needed them. He refused the fluids stating he could not justify giving me fluids. Told me my lungs sound clear, I know better my lungs are never clear. This PA Young, is rude, gave me antibiotics and steroids, no breathing treatment. When a patient knows their health history and is 57 years old, have the curiosity and listen. I'm a disabled person because of my lungs. This visit was a joke, I'll go down the road, second time in one week both my Mom and myself treated poorly.
Went to Hoke Hospital 11/11/23 at 539am was having extreme issues with asthma to the point I couldn’t breathe. I was given a breathing treatment and a steroid pill , tested for Covid/flu/sars I tested positive for the flu and was basically sent back home still unable to breathe and I wasn’t given any instructions to how to treat the flu never had it prior so I was very uncertain how to treat it! Later that afternoon I had to call the ambulance because I still was unable to breathe due to the asthma taken a toll on my lungs along with the flu I was admitted to the main hospital for 4 days and had I not gotten to the hospital I would’ve passed away I will never go back to Hoke hospital ever in my life! I feel as if the hospital did not want to take the time to properly treat all that I was dealing with that morning when I came in.. I take my health very seriously and anyone that is familiar with asthma knows that the lung disease is not to be taken lightly.. Hoke Hospital you really dropped the ball on this one I hope going forward you pay closer attention to your patients and take the time to properly manage their health or you will definitely face some lawsuits
I was sent here by my P.A. to address a possible case of cellulitis. I arrived at 8:30 p.m., and was triaged in 10 mins. They were VERY busy, so I was told there would be a wait. By 10 p.m. is was in a private room and by 10:30 my labs were drawn and I was talking to the doctor. The staff are beyond professional, the process is well thought out andmy treatment was top notch! Thank you Hoke Hospital, you are awesome!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
