We love Abbotswood in Raleigh. It's the perfect place for able body adults who want to live independent lives. The staff is super friendly and easy to interact with if we have any questions. My mom enjoys her apartment and raves about the food and all the fun activities they plan. Highly recommend!!

Perfect for independent elderly folks. Not so great for people with extra needs. My mom required more care and there was great wait time when she pushed the call button. If your parent is abulatory or needs a walker only, it will be perfect. My mom struggled with getting up/walking long distances so it wasn’t a perfect fit. There are social activities & dinner gatherings where they get to see others in a respectful manner. $-expensive, need more staff for struggling elderly, inviting facility, friendly staff (we liked everyone, David Sexton is kind), fireplace downstairs, nice music playing, decorate downstairs for the holidays.

Just walking into the main entrance had such a more pleasant feel than ANY other retirement facility I have been in in Raleigh. Felt more like a home. Friendly personnel. The friends I visited had only praise for Abbotswood.
