This doctors speaks like he is a patient advocate, but if/when something goes wrong. His ego and god complex gets in the way of him being a doctor and caring for his patients.

If I could give him a 0 I would. He refused to listen to my complaint of sudden onset of excruciating back pain. My husband and I urged him to look deeper than just an x-ray judging by my severe pain and other symptoms. We were brushed off at my office visit and many calls to his office. Finally after I became septic I was diagnosed, not by him, with a spinal abscess and almost died! All he had to do was ask the right questions and listen to the patient! I will never step foot into OSS again!

Dr Ashana is one in a million. He cares about his patients, listens and his surgical technique is top notch. I had a two level lumbar fusion and I’m pain free, no meds and back to an active life thanks to Dr Ashana.

He did not explain the x-rays, and I feel he did not listen and rushed not understanding exactly where the pain was.

Having experienced progressive back pain that initated with muscle spasms in my 20s through to stenosis with herniated discs coupled with serious arthritis through the years, in 2018 Dr. Ashana (at OSS) operated and ended my agony. In a 5+ hour operation, he released compressed nerves, removed arthritiis, and realigned and fused two discs. I was 67 years old and for the first time in decades could bend, move, walk, etc. with minimal and eventually as I healed, no pain. Dr. Ashana was very patient and worked with me as I underwent rehab. and recovery. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

All of the x-rays that were taken were explained in great detail to me and my daughter. I knew exactly what was going to be taking place during my surgery. I would recommend him to all my friends and family members.

I had neck fusion surgery at the end of last October and was admitted overnight at OSS. It was a first class operation. The staff was informative, friendly and attentive.Three weeks later I had no pain. Dr Ashana was very knowledgeable and skillful and I am very happy with the result. I highly recommend Dr. Ashana.
