List of Brighton Gardens Of Raleigh's Reviews
My mother lived at Brighton Gardens for 3 years. The staff taking care of her were all lovely. Jewilus Stephens, Princess Burton, Tanya Thomas, Shemeka Jackson, Sharon Burnett, Crystal Brown, Haley Poole and Angela Lane were Angels. Pam Howell was ALWAYS so welcoming when we visited and Tawana "Tee" Wells made sure mother got served a good lunch. Sylvia Alvarez kept her room ALWAYS neat and clean. These precious people became like family to us. The NEW General Manager, Audrey called after my mother passed to send her condolences. Love to all these special people who helped care and love our mother, Steve and Joette Woodall
They appear to always be short staffed and it’s difficult to find the correct person to talk to for help. The management does appear to be out of touch with the operations. I know they’ve had issues with turnover which causes a great deal of concern. Hopefully the new director will be able to turn things around. This is why I posted a 3 instead of lower because I have hope in her.
Nice location with a friendly staff.
Please do not let your loved one go to Brighton. They will not get the care and services that they need and deserve AND that you’re paying for. The administration is so detached from the reality of just how overworked and (a word that admin and corporate has charts and graphs to tell me it just isn’t true!) UNDERSTAFFED. We moved my mom and dad into Brighton 12yrs ago. It was a lovely community then. We saw admin interacting all the time in the community. The dining room was run with a staff that was able to serve everyone with respect and dignity. My father passed 7yrs ago and my mom stayed on because it was home. In the last few years, that home has been ruined. I’m really not sure how corporate can hear the number of complaints that I KNOW they have received (not just from me) and still not change a thing. Please don’t put your loved one here. The facility is in poor condition (the carpet, which is everywhere) has never been replaced in the 12 years that we’ve been here. The large front elevator was out of service for months, repaired and worked for a few months and then out of service for months again. The dining area is understaffed so the residents have to raise their hands to get attention. Thank goodness for the ONE full time dining room worker. I hope she is paid what she DESERVES! We recently moved our 94yr old mother from this place to another local community. This is something we never thought/wanted to do. This place was home. But we couldn’t keep her in a place that was being so mismanaged. And the final hurt was that after that long of residing there, not one admin or corporate member reached out to either my mom or me to let us know that she would be missed. Many, many staff did as well as residents. Please don’t put your loved one here
My client has been a resident here for over nine months. In that time, she has shown remarkable improvement in her strength, thanks to the excellent physical and occupational therapies she receives. The staff of Brighton Gardens are friendly, caring, and compassionate towards residents and their families. My client's apartment is always clean and tidy since the housekeeping staff do a great job. The food is very good; there are several options on the menus for residents to choose from. There are daily activities offered which give residents an opportunity to socialize and enhance their motor skills, as well as provide mental stimulation. The grounds are beautiful and are maintained regularly. When working in this facility, I feel like I'm among family. It is a very warm, fun and comfortable atmosphere.
We took a tour of this place and the head of sales and the nurse evaluated my mother. They both agreed she would be great in the assisted living section. I told them ahead of time that she sometimes has bouts of dementia and asked if they were sure. They told me "Family sometimes exaggerates their family's conditions" so I trusted their judgment. My first mistake. We were quoted a price for assisted living. My mom stayed in assisted living for one week. When we were out of town, they wanted to move my mom without my being even in Raleigh to Memory Care which was significantly high price per day. If this was the case initially, we would have never chosen this place. When I returned to Raleigh, we had no choice but to temporarily move her into Memory care before I could find another place. Memory care there is very marginal. My mom fell and had several staples in the back of her head and was supposed to have to follow up appointment. She was neglected by the staff. Finally returning to the hospital to get the staples removed, the staples had to be surgically cut out. Serious senior neglect. I would not recommend putting your parent here or your loved one. One more thing, attention to detail moving in. They couldn't even figure out if my mother's room came with sheets or not so I bought them when indeed they supplied them. Laura of Raleigh
My father has been. At BG for a month now. I could not be happier the care the aides have given him. Bed baths 1 sometime twice a day. He loves the soups, he loves it so much they bring him two! I would like to send praise to Angela and Callena, they have been very attentive.
The grounds are well kept. The facility is clean. The staff was nice and seemed to care about the residents. They have activities for the residents. They seemed to be well taken care of. My client's room was clean. I would recommend this facility.
This place feels like home when I visit. Staff is always friendly and super helpful.
Great facility, great food, caring staff!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
