List of Corey A. Thompson's Reviews
Thank goodness for a fellowship trained foot and ankle orthopod when I unexpectedly blew out my ankle on Labor Day holiday visiting Raleigh. Great bed side manner, and I felt confidence in his care, PA (can’t remember her name) was also excellent. She reset my dislocation very smoothly. THANK YOU!
I blew out my ankle while at a trampoline park on vacation. I was SO relieved Dr Thompson was a reputable foot and ankle doctor to provide me with knowledgeable care. 2 weeks post op and so far everything looks good.
Dr Thompson was very rude. He reviewed my X-rays (from 3 months prior to my appointment with him) Told me what I already had heard from another doctor. He Said”keep wearing the inserts” then he became aggravated when I asked “was I just going to be in pain forever” he said” what would you like me to do… break your foot and put it back together… have you do physical therapy for a year and maybe after that you may be able to walk?” In an angry tone. I began to cry and he left. Then I read his notes on my chart and he lied about offering me an MRI. He offered it but said it would be a waste of money… he said I declined. He was the least caring doctor I have ever been to. I am very disappointed. I hope he doesn’t treat anyone as horribly as he treated me. I will NOT be recommending him to anyone.
I'm very impressed with Dr. Thompson. He is very kind and very caring. He goes extra miles for his patients and I really appreciate him. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Thompson treated my broken ankle from 09/2021to 12/2021. I went from having my splint removed to returning to work full duty with no restrictions. The problem is that the fracture hasn't healed and since I didn't have surgery there was no need for physical therapy. I can't make this story up. I tried explaining to him that my foot wouldn't respond to full duty he did it anyway. Thank God I got a second opinion. The fracture hasn't healed, going to physical therapy, and maybe facing surgery. Thanks for NOTHING DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!
Absolutely horrible from day 1. Never saw us in 8 days in the hospital and we were assured by his medical assistant, Kristin, that he would go over the xrays / pros and cons of the procedure prior to the surgery. That NEVER happened. Pain control was a joke. The first time family met the man , was after the procedure and the pt met him for 30 seconds prior to OR. I had to witness my daughter sobbing after she barely flinched with 13 other broken bones after his work. After the procedure we had to endure multiple splint changes due to severe drainage, continued pain , a round of antibiotics, so far 4 urgent care visits for wound issues. Throughout this process we have seen this " MD' once for less than 5 minutes and he managed to be extremely arrogant and condescending. I would recommend him or this practice to no one. I would give 0 stars if allowed.
terrible experience, unprofessional and appeared not interested in patient care
scheduled appt, then called later and told I needed to submit all records from a doc I hadn't seen in 4 years, I got all records and then doc still canceled appt cause I didn't get them fast enough though it was within 1 day, days from appt, and I followed everything they said. Docs attitude appears to me to be totally arrogant, unprofessional, and could care less about patient care. Needs to understand that patients have schedules too and that a patient is a customer and should be treated with professionalism. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, GO TO UNC OR DUKE INSTEAD.
Dr. Thompson has been working over five years to try to save my diabetic legs and fractures from amputation. He is one of a kind! His staff are compassionate and helpful. I have never had a surgeon who is not only as skilled as he is much less one who has fought for me against the odds because he cares that much about his patients’ peace of mind. I’m very lucky to have ran across such a unique man to help me through a very scary situation medically. I would recommend him to anyone.
He did Morton's Neuroma surgery and had excellent care and results

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
