List of Duke Women's Cancer Care Raleigh's Reviews
I have been coming here for five years. The staff and doctors are professional and understanding. They answer all my questions and send medications quickly to your pharmacy.
Absolutely terrible. Both front desk receptionist did not even acknowledge me as I stood there. I good as well know they weren’t busy because there were only 2 people in the waiting area. When one of them finally decided to check me in she didn’t look up once. Scheduling was a mess too because I chose this location because it was close to home so I can go in during my lunch break. Scheduler apparently scheduled me for the Cary location even though I confirmed the Raleigh location. Absolutely terrible start to my care.
The level of care and compassion is top shelf.
Update of the Update: It is months and months later and still not one supervisor has contacted me as they originally promised. Update: I cannot believe the sadistic responses from Duke women’s cancer care. I did not realize that any OB/GYN could perform this hematoma surgery, and when I found another doctor who did so, my excruciating pain was immediately gone and has not returned. Months and months of screaming pain on the floor for hours for nothing. Hundreds of hours of missed work for nothing. Duke women’s cancer care doctors were dead wrong in saying the pain was not from hematoma, and even a quick Google search can tell you that this condition is excruciatingly painful. Doctors at this clinic did not even care enough to look it up. Note: it has been months and months and management still has never called me even once. My Past Posting: The Duke Women’s Cancer Care doctor told me to contact them if the abdomen pain returns and she’d conduct a surgery to remove the trapped blood from my uterus. The same pain as before DID return, several days in a row, and then for a week with increased hours of pain. So I wrote a note on My Charts, as instructed. They wrote back “call in” and when I did, I was lectured and yelled at and shamed for using My Charts when I should have gone to the ER. I went to the ER, waited 7 hours in a chair that was super uncomfortable for my abdomen, then I was told it was a gynecological issue and I needed to see my OBGYN. ($1400 for nothing). This has caused so much stress that my pain has increased and I have developed further health issues due to the confusion about what to do next. I asked Duke Women’s Cancer Care to have management call me over a week ago, multiple nurses said they gave the message to management, and no one has contacted me back at all.
Definitely a great experience!! The staff were professional and friendly. As you walk down the hallway, the staff greeted you with a smile and said “good morning “. The only negative review I can say is the bathroom in the lobby could’ve been cleaner.
I highly hope read ALL low rating before getting to the "perfect"😑. Don't think Duke is all that what you seem behind closed doors. I had an appointment March(this was gonna be possible 6hr treatment)in the AM with my sister and nephew (7). I walked in showed them where to sit while I checked in. The lady at the front desk greeted me nicely ask for my information and ask "how many people with you?". I said 2 and pointed at my sister and nephew. I waited for my name to be called and upon call the nurse stated "kids aren't allowed in the Infusion area ; however, they can wait in the [waiting area] for guests of the infusion area with the open window." We were happy and EXCITED , (while they were there they were having pleasant conversations with staffs and other guests)I got waited to get started on my treatment. My sister and nephew did not stay long, they left for breakfast. While they were gone another lady with a child (9 months) in the actual infusion area all socializing/conversation. (I was told children weren't allowed in the infusion area but it was none of my business, so I just ignored). Prior to my sister and nephew returning my treatment was about over and the nurse (who did my treatment) I was with SAW my family. As I'm walking out, I see my sister having an altercation with one of the staff members. As I'm walking toward then, I stated " wait I'm the patient, what's going on?". Staff member RUDELY "NO CHILDREN ALLOWED IN THE INFUSION AREA ". So yes, i crashed out toward the staff "WHEN BEEN HERE ALL DAY, NOBODY SAID NOTHING, HE BEEN IN THE WAITING AREA THE ENTIRE TIME JUST AS SAID. NO DIDNT SAY NOTHING TO THE OTHER LADY THAT WAS ACTUALLY IN THE INFUSION AREA." The entire staff basically gained up on me like I was never there. They never saw then, they were given VISTOR PASSES, not even security didn't come to the front and said anything. We were told, my nephew can come to the back. Altercation with my sister and staff member: My sister stated, she was just trying to take my nephew the the bathroom, the staff member blocked my sister and nephew from going into the bathroom. Asking her "who she is , who she with, like she possible committed a crime. Did I call ahead to plan ahead? Yes...... This was my first time going to this facility and receiving this type of treatment. My anxiety was HIGH, so I called ahead. I spoke to front desk, they allowed me to speak with a nurse from the infusion area and answer my questions. She stated" my treatment schedule, what I will be receiving, I can bring blankets, pillows, snacks and drinks we provide, you can door dash, Uber food and we also ask you NOT order anything with "odor"(Food with smell). SHE ask" will I be having family with me I said yes," SHE said "great, 😊we have a waiting area for them". I asked will she be there. No worries if I wasn't gonna see her. I demanded an apology "staff member" gave me cruel look on the face like I don't deserve NOTHING. I told them I'm HR and I read policies and procedures daily. Your entire staff lack communication. No worries from nobody all felt guilty but made sure they were they for THAT staff member. My issue: 1 Front desk Security Staff Members All saw me, my sister and nephew and NOBODY SAID NOTHING 🙄 😒. We we've respected the situation and the policy. That's the problem with businesses they watch for show rather handling the problem professionally. 2 Why didnt anybody STEP UP and say this is not necessary they been here all day no harm no problem? I would of never crashed out, said what I said 🤬😤😡 if it was handled properly and PROFESSIONALLY. But I was the THREAT, I was the problem 😒🙄. That's fine not coming but the people deserve to know the truth. I understand jobs DO bend the rule for people 😇 but don't take your personal situations at WORK toward the PATIENT. If you see a policy broken, that requires a TEAM MEETING but again Lack communication. Read reviews please before going.
I want to thank the Amazing doctors Dr Moss and Dr Rossi and the amazing team of PA. I was scheduled for two appointments with two different doctors on 2/6 at around 2:00. I was advised during a previous visit in December that when I come back for my follow up to check in through the back entrance where I had been checking in during my treatments. I arrived to my appointment on 2/6/25 30 mins prior however I waited nearly 1hr 1/2 before a clinical staff member even came. Continuing to stay neutral I waited another 30 mins in the doctors room yet still no doctor came. Agitated at this point I went up to the front desk and requested to speak with the clinic manager. A staff member went to get the nurse. The nurse says to me you’ve been seen, I informed her I have been waiting nearly 2 hrs, I have not been seen nor spoken to any doctor and I’m requesting to speak with a manager at this point. I spoke with operations manager, Alice, whom was slightly apologetic as she proceeded to tell me she was looking for me (😏). I informed her I was advised to arrive through the back entrance I had been checking in at. Alice then says “ yeah you should have came through the main entrance.” I stated to Alice No matter what entrance I may have arrived at there is definitely a communication barrier as there was no communication between your staff and your departments. Alice says to me “I apologize someone should have told you that Dr. Telloni is running behind schedule”. I don’t know maybe it’s just me, but If the doctor is running behind schedule common sense is to notify the patient. Correct? Alice then ask do I want to still see the doctor, after telling me the doctor is running behind schedule and after I’ve been waiting nearly 2 hrs. I understand Alice is giving options as that’s her job but I wasn’t willing to wait any longer to see the doctor due to having a distance to drive back home. This is not the first time Duke Women’s Cancer Center has messed up my appointments, and I still continue to continue care because some of the staff that’s there genuinely care about the patients. I’m grateful that Dr. Wang reached out to me vocally on 2/6/5 and not just through my chart to express concern. Duke Women’s Cancer Center Macon Pond Rd Please do better!!
The medical personneI really cares about their patients. Especially Dr. Telloni and the nurse navigator named: Joann but there are others. The nurse that did my 1st chemotherapy session: she was really nice and explained everything too me patiently. I think her name was Army. She made the experience easier.
Highest compliments to the staff at this location. From the moment I was greeted to the service I was given by RN Alexis, I was comfortable and at ease. Thank you for making my first experience a very easy one.
